“We had one legislator that said — oh goodness — he said, ‘Why can’t women just plan their pregnancies around summer break?’”

The ignorance of these politicians is just astounding.

To me, the USA really seems more and more to be a failed state. I’m so sorry for all these teachers.

In an industry largely dominated by females in their childbearing years it is beyond insane that they don’t have a right so basic as maternity leave. It’s a disgrace.
