All these Republican candidates like Haley declaring that Republicans need a “less hateful, more respectful candidate” than Trump really don’t understand the hearts and desires of their party’s electorate.

Trump stole their entire party of hate mongers they’ve been curating for 50 years out from under them by being cartoonishly, joyously hateful and disrespectful. The hatred is the point to modern Republicans.

Say what you want about him, but Donald Trump knows what Republican voters want, and gets right to the point: screaming about and threatening all the groups of people Republicans hate.

Short of some Republican contender literally calling for or promising to enable their voters to go out and start murdering said groups in the streets, there’s no way Republicans will abandon Trump. Convicted or not, He’s their guy until all those cheeseburgers finally catch up with him.

I’m sorry, but yes, the majority of Republican voters have become this feral, thanks to a steady diet of lies, scare tactics, and conspiracy theories for decades originally designed to let capitalist profiteers pillage society and the planet while pointing at vulnerable groups and claiming its “their fault herp derp, the real news you conservatives watch says so.” Worked great for the profiteers for decades, but now even they’ve lost control of the willfull cult of ignorance monsters they’ve made, to the point even they’re afraid.

Turns out systematic dishonesty has unintended consequences.
