I suppose that begs the question, why wasn’t it intercepted? It doesn’t seem like this was a particularly sophisticated attack, how did they get the drop on the US soldiers so easily?

They already said that they thought it was a drone returning to base for a re-supply. They detected it but thought it wasn’t malicious. It’s a big fuck up
