Seth MacFarlane donated $1 million to The Entertainment Community Fund to help provide financial assistance for industry workers during the strikes.
I like it when rich people do good things
Never forget:
While I agree with what this is saying, I’m not sure Seth MacFarlane is who the “Rich” is in this story.
Productive rich people like creatives are not the problem unless they do problematic things. Billionaires are always a problem and are exploitative by their very nature.
Yep. You can get rich by being productive and lucky. You can’t become a billionaire without exploitation.
Same. I wish we had the infrastructure and protections to not need them to though.
More of the A-listers should do this.
Tom Hanks surely has a few mil in between the couch cushions.
Hanks probably has to support Chet, that’s charity enough.
Forgot about that. You’re right.
MFW* chet hanks 😔
Edit*
The article notes some others.
And that’s why Seth has no trouble finding work.
Seth McFarlane is worth between 200 and 300 million dollars, he could’ve kicked in 10
Being worth a dollar amount doesn’t mean you have that amount sitting in a bank account waiting for you to use it. I’m all for hating on the rich but you could at least educate yourself first.
Education is right wing propaganda, though, haven’t you heard?
Only a person who actually believes those net worth figures is stupid enough to say something like that.
People like you will never be happy with anything. If he’d kicked in 50 million you would say he should give away his whole net worth. If he’d given his whole net worth, you’d say he should have sold his family into slavery to give twice that.
You and those like you are the reason people don’t help each other out more. Nothing is ever good enough for you entitled little shits.
@downpunxx your downvote makes it way too obvious that you know I’m right.
Awe c’mon.
you’re right, it should have been 20
