Had they read the message, it would have saved them a lot of time waiting for the solution that would have been near instantaneous otherwise. But their 0.5% is more important to them than your 99.5%. Hopefully they’re really good at bringing money into the company, because their ability to save labor money for the company is abysmal.
Haha! Oh, man!
It’s definitely a skill, but not one I would expect to see on a resumé. I do mention it in interviews, that I don’t know everything, but I can find out. Then they ask how, and I say that I know how to use search engines. But I akin it to “keyboarding”. It is a skill, but it’s something you’re expected to know by now and shouldn’t be added to a resumé.
This is worse than some of the resumés I’ve seen, with “proficient with Google search” [or “google” as a soft skill].
But, then, how will I know about that product that I don’t need and will never buy, that is literally on every shelf in every store? (/s, in case that wasn’t obvious)
Hahahahahahahahaha!!!
I bite my thumb at you, sir! And at you, as well, sir!
Same here. I reread the message chain several times before it sunk in that they were being kind and not dickish haha
There was a timezone issue with their code. Mastodon, in the mastodon way, found a way to contact the site owner and they got everything fixed. People can be great, when given the chance.
A quick google search shows that this is fake…
No one’s bad, mate. We all get caught by autocorrect.
I think your autocorrect keeps changing hannukah to hannukiah, which caused my misunderstanding haha
Like squares are rectangles, but rectangles are not squares. :)
I’ve never heard of hannukiah menora, either. I’ve either heard, menora (most common), hannukah menora (least common), or hannukiah (only heard in specific situations).
Did a search. After reading a few articles, I think I can summarize it like this:
Menora means lamp, and is usually 7 candles. Hannukah menora is a lamp for hannukah and has 9 candles. It is usually called a hannukiah, but that’s hard for non-Hebrew speakers to say, so we usually hear menora or hannukah menora.
Edit: forgot to include the sources. I’ll try to find them all, but here’s the one that, though the shortest, said the most.
Edit: found two more of the sources (1, 2), but can’t refind the longest one. Sometimes, it’s very annoying not having history saved.
Oh ok cool. I added to the reading list yesterday, and plan to get to it after the one I’m reading now.
It’s very long. Seems interesting, though. As someone that has lived in communism, I can say with first hand that it doesn’t work en mass. But, then again, capitalism doesn’t work either…
There are multiple acceptable spellings of this word.
beau·coup (bō′ko͞o′, bo͞o′-, bō-ko͞o′) also boo·coo or boo·koo (bo͞o′-)Informal
I chose boocoos, because it looks funny.
Anything in particular? He has boocoos of books.
I read it as miles. If some_guy meant meters, then that would add such a new level of comedy to it hahaha
