Twitter is literally being dismantled. It’s a shell of what it previously was, and does not work for organizing protests and other counter-culture due to the billionaires buying and taking it apart piece by piece.
The whole point of Twitter was reach. None of the other platforms have the same reach.
Also the other platforms are doing their best to follow twitters lead. So yes, it’s being dismantled.
None ever had the organizational reach Twitter did. FB/Instagram require more personal data and are much worse for discoverability. Mastodon and BlueSky have the issue of nobody using them (in the grand scheme of things). Lemmy and Reddit don’t work well because of reach and censorship respectively.
There still isn’t something out there that replaces the use cases of Twitter.
Have you attempted to use the platform since the rate limiting? It’s approximately 2-3 searches before you’re rate limited out of the app for 24+ hours.
You’re also unable to view comments unless you’re logged in, so you’re required to give them semi-accurate information for an account too.
It’s literally useless for organizing unless you pay for it, which defeats the entire purpose of wide spread reach like it used to have.
Rate limiting and heavily pushed “premium” options have made Twitter near useless for large scale organizing.
They put laws in place that reflect their desire for control. Is your head so far up your own ass that you think that the people setting those laws actually follow them?
There’s separate laws for the ruling class. They don’t give a flying fuck about “values”, they just want control
Open marketplaces will tag their products with anything and everything in the hope of showing up in “featured” lists.

That’s pretty much how it was when I delivered with Dominos too. It was a cold day in hell before we’d tell someone to have to come out and meet us. We even still had to do 100% in person, face to face deliveries.
There was a couple occasions where I had to call the customer due to being lost in an apartment complex, but most are fairly understanding about that.
I was a delivery driver. He’s 100% in the right. Delivery services have gotten so shit over the last few years where the drivers won’t even do the bare minimum of coming to the door
West coast of the US. Their default mode is to treat everyone like everything in their cart is stolen
And this is why we’re treated like criminals every time we leave grocery stores here. Everywhere has heavily kitted up security (though I don’t believe armed) that stops you every time you try to leave.

Nope, and while that’s a fine choice to make, it still leaves me pretty much alone for the remainder of my life.
I don’t like making friends, nor am I good at it, and whenever I do manage to make one it fades away extremely fast no matter the effort I put in. Which makes it very clear it’s a me problem, so I just stopped trying.
I did for a while. It never eased the existential dread of existing another day, so I eventually stopped once my therapist and I agreed that I could be a functioning member of society.
Talking about things doesn’t really do much for me. I’m extremely self-aware of why I am the way that I am, and it’s something I’ve come to peace with. I’m not necessarily unhappy, just content with living a very, very uneventful and short life.
I think most agree.
The biggest problem I saw was that if you didn’t watch Rebels you would have a much harder time understanding the story. They treated it as the final season of rebels more than anything, and while that was fine for people invested in the story, casual watchers were always going to suffer.
The writing wasn’t awful, but it didn’t stand out either. Combine that with some questionable plot decisions and dialogue/actions and it’s not going to be great, just meh.
Ignore all media, vote for whoever the democratic candidate is.
I realized that all the election media just makes me angry, and I already know who I’m NOT voting for, so there’s really only one choice anyways.
So I’ll be honest and say I have no want to prolong my life any longer than I absolutely have to. I have a myriad of mental issues, no plans to start or have a family and in general very little want to live another 50ish years.
I think that’s not uncommon in a lot of men either. There’s very little incentive to make it that long anymore. I’ll be working till the day I die and some poor choices in my life up to this point have put a significant damper on what’s left.
I do, but I don’t post about them. I don’t like making posts and try to avoid doing so at all costs.
Other gaming pretty much has nothing in common with Simracing. It doesn’t use any of the same hardware, tends to take a lot of money to get started in and isn’t something for casual players.
I don’t like generic communities overall. I find them boring and tending to lack in creativity. The reason I liked Reddit so much was I didn’t need to interact with other subjects, I could find my niche and stay there without needing to deal with other gaming groups.
Unfortunately some niches don’t fit with other, larger communities. Simracing, for example, makes no sense in gaming communities, but also makes no sense in car communities.
I’m spending more and more time back on Reddit because that’s where the community is. Otherwise it’s just empty with the occasional post here.
And Stanford hates that they have to accept her too. I’m amazed they haven’t gone the way of the ivies and just stopped scholarship sports outside of the Olympic ones
