Nothing…that’s just how they perceive themselves.
Nothing…that’s just how they perceive themselves.
More stable, has all the required features, but can break down without warning with cryptic messages about what’s wrong. Needs a little more testing and development before moving into the real world. So basically…teenagers.
We have multiple countries sending moon landers, and a few planning to return people to the moon to start a launching pad to Mars. A few accidents involving unmanned probes is nothing to worry about.
This is so unrealistic. Developers don’t drink decaf.
Don’t worry…they already get their public utilities cut when the stop paying for them, and they pulled over and charged when driving an unregistered vehicle. Plus many don’t have a social security number, so can’t apply for most jobs anyways. That’s what gives them the opportunity to complain that they are being oppressed and they are fighting for a righteous cause. It also gives us entertainment when they post their latest attempt to say the secret words that will let them get away with all these things that inevitably fails.
Don’t bother trying it. It’s gotten really bad over the years. The chickens have gotten smaller, and now they cut the normal 9 pieces of chicken in half in order to get more out of a chicken and provide extra mechanically separated meat for all the new sandwiches. There are much better fried chicken places around.
Two words: salamander babies.
And you can spark a conversation without being confrontational. Being insulting is not the only way to engage.
That doesn’t spark a conversation in the post. Learn.
OK, so what was going on in the world around 2010 that caused such a sharp rise in women becoming more liberal?

Small yet essential tip:
If you’re one of the last 5 left after 50 or 100 of your coworkers have been laid off, take the hint and move on. The company is circling the bowl. You will be left with nothing when they go under, as the execs cash out what’s left of the company and creditors take the rest. Even if the company is sold and the new company seems to take you on, usually the leftover people will be laid off once knowledge transfer is complete. Don’t think that you have any specialized knowledge that they can’t afford to let go…new execs generally don’t care about that, they only look at the bottom line. Someone cheaper can and will do your job.
I turned down a job.
It was 2003. I had been working as a programmer in legacy language on an ancient AS/400 system for a year and a half. I had interviewed with another company, working in VB6 which wasn’t great but at least it had some growth. But the pay was only slightly above what I was already making, and I wasn’t keen on VB6 when the web was taking off. I thought I could do better. Fast forward to the bust of 2004, and I’m being laid off from that legacy programming job.
I spend a year applying to every development job I can find, but it’s difficult with a glut of programmers all looking for work. I finally take a tech support job just to get by as I continue looking for a dev job. Little did I know that dev job would never come. I bounced from a few different jobs after that, most being some form of tech support and usually ending in layoffs. I spent 16 years trying to get another dev job before I finally gave up and left IT work altogether. I had to eventually face the fact that my development career died in 2004, all because I turned down a job.
The latter…I have Crohn’s disease.
About 60% of the time, I have to shit at the same time as I pee even if I didn’t feel anything beforehand. It’s like my bladder acts as a dam for my bowels. It’s just safer to sit most of the time.
I forcefully blew air out of my nose.
