Constant passing problems, especially when the yaml gets very large and complex. After I implemented a new feature I was pulled into a call with 12-15 people demanding to know why it didn’t work. The new feature worked fine, The guys yaml had the wrong amount of white space and so it didn’t parse.

I mean that’s part of it but I think something that’s being overlooked is the overall mentality.
A bully who is used to getting their way and getting what they want is probably not going to have a hard time negotiating for higher pay when it comes to a job. They’re also probably more likely to leave a job that’s unsatisfactory. They’re also going to have higher levels of confidence.
Meanwhile I remember when I was a kid being told to keep my head down, keep my nose clean, don’t make waves, work hard to be rewarded and get ahead… And that’s just not how you get ahead.

True. Once I was working on a WPF app and someone looked at it and then showed me a simple YAML file they put together for Ansible and legit thought ‘YAML was better’ and what I was doing was dumb. They considered themselves a programmer.
It might just be an alias to a function similar to what you posted. Because like you can do curl but it really just calls invoke-webrequest, or ls for Get-ChildItem.
It is kind of weird that I took him this long to put this out though. I imagine a lot of people wrote their own version of this and it all probably very nearly the exact same.
You have no proof of the claim that this was by design.

So they are at the behest of whatever is written about them instead of controlling the narrative and that somehow the appropriate route. I foresee these places putting up a replica of the paintings and not the paintings anymore. Because there’s far too much risk.

Gosh if there was only a method to communicate with people all across the world… Perhaps social platforms or mediums of which to put forth an idea that could just naturally get shared with everybody else… Terrible shame nothing like that exists.
Saying that the painting wasn’t damaged is very shortsighted. What if these places determine that the risk just isn’t worth it. Sure it’s behind bulletproof Glass but not everything is. I really hate it when people assume that the repercussions for their actions are either immediate or they won’t exist.
You nailed it. I’ve never heard of this group before, but out of principal I don’t support them. You’re a better ways to get attention. This is a kin to a child during a temper tantrum, destroying things to get attention.

I don’t believe it’s ever referenced again and it doesn’t further any plot line that I know of at the top of my head… So really is just a filler episode.
First PC my house got (the family PC) was an IBM Aptiva. I’d eventually upgrade the OS (from Win95 to Win98), upgrade the RAM (I think to 64MB), and upgraded the modem (from 33.6 to 56k).
Used that machine for years.

I would say, having an affinity for math can be a sign of affinity for programming.
Logical abstract thinking, order of operations, and problem solving all transfer. A for loop is just a summation equation for example.
But id say in today’s high level development, being math centric is less important.
That won’t be the solution forever. They’ll put an always online requirement soon.
I was building up some packer stuff. Vsphere-iso plug-in. Tests were going fine and then for reasons I didn’t understand it said it could no longer find the cd creation tool it has just been using.
So I try a few things, nothing works. So I figure I have nothing to lose, I make a new folder to house all the tools in one place. Update Windows system environment path. Restart everything. VScode didn’t have my path statement, Google is of 0 fucking help, and now packer doesn’t work. I least it’s the weekend now.
