True but how often are you unplugging and plugging in a washing machine?
Generally speaking higher powered devices have a higher chance you leave them plugged in.

It is fun to do.
But for practical reasons the biggest thing for me has been easily connecting switches together.
For example my kitchen has two big lights. Each light has its own switch but they put the switches in the opposite side of the room, so if you want both on you need to turn on one walk across the kitchen to turn on the other and do the same thing to turn them off.
With automation/IOT I can now logically connect the switches together so turning on one switch will turn on the other.
Honestly USB-C. It is getting added to electrical outlets. Super small, basically impossible to get electrocuted being low voltage DC.
Works in every country.
“Going all in” “Last ditch effort” If you play American football “Doing a hail Mary”
I am sure there are more. The last two are more of your doing it because you’re desperate.
If I am being honest I don’t really want to defecate in an body of a sentient being living or dead. Although I don’t know what would be worse.
Is it just my toilet in my house or all toilets in the world? Could I move and avoid having this problem?
Is killing my toilet an option?
If I have no other choice I guess crave…
I can only read it as “I Anal” and the teenage boy in me giggles and I forget what I am reading.
You missed the opportunity to use iirc during the definition of iirc.
Basic human needs,
Food, water, shelter. Go into any of these and you should be good.
Long term needs would add healthcare, education.
Have the Year of the Windows Desktop.
My perfect world would be solar and batteries and a heat pump install. Free power and heating.
Unfortunately or fortunetly depending on how you look at it, both gas and electric is relatively cheap in my neck of the woods so it would take forever to pay for itself.
I’m also going to disagree on the “things make us happier” argument as well. Because if you’re only getting things because they flaunt your wealth, it isn’t making you happier
Where did they say that?
They said we can enjoy more technology than ever before. That is 100% true.
Do you know how much joy I feel when I watch my little vacuum robot zoom around my house keeping it clean for me? It is so cool and makes me happier living in a cleaner environment.
Personally I am not really worried. Maybe I am in denial but I think a lot of the negative stuff is way over exposed with 24/7 news cycle and crazy social media.
Bad news and anger drive engagement metrics the best so that is all you will hear about.
So everything I hear I just automatically assume it is way over blown and I should lower the worry factor.
If it is getting overwhelming I would recommend you unplug yourself for a little while and do something you enjoy.
2023 has some amazing games come out maybe pick on of those up and give it a try?
Depends if your vegan or not.
USA wasn’t excluded. Just the people currently living in the USA.
Technically if your from the USA and living abroad you could talk about the USA.
Sounds like Americans need to cut back on their Avocado Toast.
Meanwhile, the alien is a political refugee and freedom fighter fleeing from his own people who want him dead for —get this— existing.
To be fair they did offer him a chance to see if there was good in him but he insulted them instead, and after that they sentenced him to be banished on an asteroid not death.
Is this an unpopular option?
We also have a lot of evidence that snakes can’t speak, people can’t turn plain water into wine, walk on the water and so on.
If I am remembering my stories correctly the snake wasn’t a normal snake but more of a representation of Satan. And I think god turned the water into wine and walked on water. We aren’t talking about an average person. Neither Satan nor God is around to let us do some experiments on.
Claiming something which can neither be proven or disproven is what constitutes a pseudoscience. By that logic I could claim that we are in fact giant pink elefants hopping around on the moon, while imagining our reality as we currently think to perceive it. Since you can’t disprove that, I must be right. Or am I not?
Yeah fair enough but my point still stands that comparison between god and flat earth is still a bad comparison. Considering the Earth is here right now, and we can experiment on it.
Sure your standard corded vacuums probably needs more power then what USB-C can provide. But alot of people are liking those cordless vacuums and I would bet money those could be charged off USB-C same with robotic vacuums.
