  • IMO most “flashy” frameworks betray the principle of high cohesion. Importing a time library to handle timezones is a great idea. Importing a math library to calculate derivatives is common sense for good reason. But huge frameworks that change the entire way a language is written are ridiculous. I’m looking at you, Vue and Tailwind. I usually see these sorts of frameworks used by people who aren’t qualified programmers and who don’t know software architectures or best practices. In other words, the kinds of people who get promoted to management positions and tell us what frameworks to use.

    (Typescript is awesome though)

You mean you’re not engaging with a nonbinary person. Which is your personal definition of transphobe. You know, if I was a cis man and a trans person told me I was being transphobic, I would at least spend 10 minutes questioning if I’m wrong. I’d do that basic courtesy. But if you’re telling me you’re incapable of that, then fine. I’ll let everyone else know exactly how you feel about the prospect of admitting maybe nonbinary people are real.

Believe it or not, other people care about supporting trans rights. Other people will actually make a new account (and abandon their @mechoselachia@lemmy.world) account so that they can ask you to display the barest shred of empathy for a nonbinary person.

And you will listen to someone asking you to have empathy, and you will decide to ignore them and attack them, because apparently you have no empathy to give to nonbinary people, and you don’t care.
