19·5 months agoIdk I can’t remember anyone in Harry Potter using it as a straight up slur, the worst I can think of is some people use it in a rude way like “The Blacks” or “The Gays”. I haven’t read them in a long time tho, I just remember mudblood being a slur and muggle being the accepted term, even by muggleborn magic users

5·6 months ago3D animation is definitely a lot easier/cheaper than 2D, and probably a lot cheaper than live action. Making a good looking 3D character is harder than drawing a frame in a cartoon, but once you have it, animation is much easier, since you don’t have to make a new model for each frame. I assume it’s also easier to make effects for 3D than live action, since they’re stylized and don’t have to look lifelike, which is the goal of most CGI in live action media

16·6 months agoIn a cool universe maybe, but realistically it’s just gonna mean line goes up faster for the people at the top, while employees and customers see little/none of the rewards. That’s how automation has always been: workers do the same amount of work for the same pay while producing more, customers maybe get a slight discount, the execs get a few mil/bil in bonuses. Without a hell of a lot of strikes and government intervention I doubt there’s any other way for it to go
Just got started on a couple of those articles, I didn’t know this was an actual problem, that really sucks :( I didn’t bother looking into it because of how many news sources paint any criticism of zionism as antisemitic. I should’ve researched this sooner, I’ll read the rest of the stuff that was posted too. Fuck zionists for equating actual antisemitic violence to just being anti zionist or criticizing Israel for so long that people like me can see stuff like that and dismiss it as zionist hyperbole and propaganda

In otherwords you value the lives of 100-200 IDF soldiers over the lives of many more Palestinian civilians. Considering you probably think 12,000 Palestinian deaths is a proportionate response to 1,200 Israeli deaths that’s no surprise
