I’m more so trying to state that sex ed is a broad spectrum and without specification of the exact teachings people will assume different things. Theres a big difference in teaching kids about puberty and teaching kids about how and when to use protection or the process of child birth. Specifying when kids will be taught what could clear a lot of debate about when sex ed is acceptable

This sounds reasonable but really the lesson is more about the stages of puberty than sex ed. Puberty is part of sexual health and development but it isn’t what everyone thinks of when hearing the term sex ed, a lot of people tend to think of sexual intercourse, protection/sexual health, and gender identity when thinking of sex ed.

I think you can still teach children what is not okay without going fully into sexual education. Rules like don’t let a stranger touch you, my private square and ensuring children can reach out to an adult for any reason at any time.

This doesn’t need to fully cover the concepts of sexual intercourse or even the differences in sex/gender. Lessons like no one is allowed to touch chests or groins on anyone and no one is allowed to touch you anywhere without permission, can help set boundries without covering more sexually mature topics.

I still play in the woods with my friends as an adult. It is a lot less often and we tend be more drunk than we were as kids.

Thats still in a sense a commerce based system. The only reason that warlord fights for that land is because it has value, be it food, a cash crop, a strategic location.

A water pumping station has alternative pumps if one needs to be repaired or replaced, most main roads run at such capacity that one road closure stresses the entire system in the area to the point of failure.

With a hull breach the atmosphere within leaks out and I doubt there would be enough oxygen in the ship to really help with detonation. Maybe some self sealing projectile with a nuclear tip but really any traditional explosive would work fine in that case as the ship would act as a sealed canister

Chances are there isnt enough air to make a significant difference and any ship large enough to have enough air would have air lock systems as a safety net.

TLDR if a big enough genetic data bank is aquired by the wrong hands, discriminatory practices could increase significantly in job interviews, health insurance and other sectors. Chemical warfare could also be specifically tuned to specific genetic groups.

Even without the entire bathroom being a shower, having the entire bathroom be water tight with a drain just seems like the right idea. Drippings/splashes from the shower, common location for plumbing repairs, clogged toilet, in general a humid place. Building it not water proof is just setting up for failure.

You can’t blame 100% of your media consumption on the snartphone but I think it is counter-productive to treat it as not a factor in media addictions. Smartphones made media and content more accessible than ever, especially as mobile data rates got cheaper.

Smartphones are too stimulating for young children. Their brains are wired to really take in the lights, sounds and interactiveness of it all. This is kinda dangerous because this is also when a lot of learning is going on, they will develop socially based on the content they consume.

I’ve heard that some toddlers/babies recently began mimicing the action of pulling a mobile device from a pocket and looking down at the screen. They’ve seen others do it so often that they are learning it as a nearly instinctual action.
