half of the industry hasn’t worked out how to test database backups regularly
Wait your suppose to do that? I mean, don’t get me wrong, that makes sense, but so far 0% of the companies I’ve worked for do that.

I have read those principles, many years ago.
Those principles sound great but they are not compatible with management.
If management is gonna be part of the picture then agile principles are not beneficial to a developer experience, regardless of what unachievable ideal they talk about.
It’s not Agile’s fault
Yes, yes it is. You don’t judge a system by some ideal that can’t be achieved. If it’s a system meant for humans you judge it based on what it does to said humans.
If agile makes managers more insufferable, then maybe it’s not a good tool for the problem at hand, working in companies with managers.
AI in a nutshell. Even it will tell you it’s not good enough.
Why are there no links damn it!
Yeah man, didn’t you know. We have thousands of cheap and effective treatments for cancer that don’t exist.
doctors secretly executed him for his conservative views
The sad and messed up reality is:
They believe this, cause they would do so given the chance…
Lint issue
How about UIs that are essentially web apps. I’m talking about needing to handle drag and drop, graphs and the like.
There is also the mess that is responsive design, multi browser support and proper accessibility.
Side by side or stacked on top?
Hah, jokes on you, I have an ultra wide.
Which is basically two monitors without any separator in the middle.
This is the logical answer (so maybe not American?), as it would relate to how we handle data.
Also add 1 HDD = 1 TO
Im curious about your perspective, what would you say is the next step? As in what happened to Japan that we would expect to happen to SK?
Pretty amazing how the answers are so similar.
It’s really weird when considering the Ukraine situation. For a moment I thought US was just doing the right thing. Nope, they just are anti Russian, not necessarily pro Ukraine.
Idk man, I think hot pie should have been king.
Thank god I didn’t read the article.
It’s always about autonomy, one way or another. People want to be able to control how they work and what they can get out of it. For some that does mean more money, for some it would mean less stress, for others it could means less meetings.
It’s pretty easy for management to address all of it by just giving people more power over what their work lives are like, but that could mean less control over their workforce. No “owner” wants that, to them, they own their employees’ time/work life.
How much are they paying? And how much for the expert to be bribed to change their mind?
Asking for a friend.
