My guy, did you forget how COVID killed over a million Americans while Trump did nothing?

“You just don’t know how AI works” earns you a block.
My guy, did you forget how COVID killed over a million Americans while Trump did nothing?
Thanks. I tried to post the original link but it just says “No posts.” Weird.
RODE Mini USB. Might be a little more than $50 but it’s completely plug and play, no drivers needed, great quality.
First, well I’ve been able to get ublock origin to just block the pop-up itself, YouTube now has some scroll event override that locks you to the top of the page. You can’t view the comments or recommended anymore… Not that any value is lost there but still.
Second, the pop-up triggers a “three strike” system where they won’t let you close the pop-up until you disable ublock. That may be easy enough to defeat today, but if YouTube has already gone to these lengths to force you to watch ads, they may eventually stop loading videos altogether until you do.
For those looking, the video is about Rajneeshpuram. But you can also find a well-done Netflix documentary on it.
One of my favorite Down The Rabbit Hole videos. Too bad it’s not on Youtube anymore…
You don’t have to support Christianity, or any religion for that matter, to be against religious persecution. They are mutually exclusive. They are not two sides of the same coin where you must land on one side or the other, they are two separate coins.
Yes, the victim of organized religion is the individual, but the victim of religious persecution is counterintuitively not the religion itself, nor its systems or organizations, it is unfortunately more individuals.
You posted this exact post to artificial_intel twice, to science twice, and you deleted the programmerhumor post that I criticized. The contact email on the site is just a random Gmail account.
But despite the spammy self-advertising you’ve been generating, I know there’s a human, not a bot, behind this site. And we need that human to read and deeply, truly understand what I’m saying.
This is a bad idea. It is a fallacy to think that you can remove bias by balancing your sources with Morally Bankrupt outfits. Climate change is real, there is no reason whatsoever to include a right-wing climate denial stance. What will you do if people (or bots) demand that a right-wing article be marked as left leaning so they can skew the bias even further right? Who do I contact if the article needs retractions? What do you do if the AI commits libel or slander?
Also, the comments. There is good reason news sites do NOT allow anonymous, account-less comments on articles. I could spam biased, hateful, fake news comments there all damn day. And I don’t believe for a minute an AI-only news somehow has human moderation on those comments.
Stop the site. Talk to real journalists. Find out the real problems. And find a way to solve those, regardless if the solution is AI or not.
You posted this to programmerhumor, am I to assume this site is satire? The site doesn’t look like it, so if I’m taking you at face value, I couldn’t disagree any harder about your mission. What makes you think anyone wants “2 right leaning” sources? Breitbart, OANN, Newsmax, New York Post, and Fox News are all pushing fascism narratives, to say nothing of the mockery you are making of professional journalism. You gonna start writing articles with them as your sources?
Shut your doors.
The author pretty freely admits he shares some blame, having PII on the same phone he uses Lemmy, using Lemmy while not paying attention/being half asleep. I’m sure he does know better and agrees with your statement. And yet, when mistakes happen and people prove to be fallible, Lemmy proves it is not capable of handling the problem.
I also can’t believe the Lemmy developers would be so indignant about being presented with such an oversight. GDPR or no GDPR, federated to other servers or not, the idea of PII being hard/impossible to delete from a social media platform is an embarrassment to the developers.
