I’m failing to understand why we would need decimal units at all. Whats the point of them? And why do the original units havr to change name to something as ridiculous as “Gibibyte” while the unnecessary decimal units get the binary’s old name?

Reject MiB, call it “MB” like it originally was.
As a logic and math hobbyist, I’m wondering how you came to the following conclusions…
a) That they participate in an online community OR b) that speaking (in an offline community) would somehow help them to know how to spell the word
AND
c) That the word “hobbyist” comes up often in these communities
Yeah but they dont want you to buy Chinese EVs, this essentially pushes non-chinese EVs (so US-made or ones from Europe)
If that’s Bitcoin then this would actually give you, at the current exchange rate of BTC to USD:
0.000000000002557444% USD. If you got that card once every milliscond, you would need 31 years to have 2.5$.
I doubt you’d be rich with one card except lol.
Would you think the same if the dad had told his buddy “500k € for the website”?
Lots of websites with menus on the left!
Can you send an example? I’ve only seen these foldout side bar menus.
There are differenr methods but to name one, you have two particles very close to each other and then you bombard them with energy until they inevitably interact with each other and get entangled.
Lets say we wanna talk. I keep a private decryption key and send you a (public) encryption key. Everyone now knows how to encrypt a message for me but nobody, not even you, can read it. The decryption ley is NEVER SENT and kept secret, the encryption key is public but can never decrypt anything.
To put it simply, one party openly distributes keys that can ONLY ENCRYPT but not decrypt a message. So I can encrypt a message but only the original key distributor can decrypt it. Thats how a first secure communication is established that can then be used to exchange any initial secrets for further communication…
Why would I use spaces if I use tabs? Also, it seemd like a huge waste of time hitting the space bar so many times…
Using an IDE definety IS programming.
Also, the police cant catch you because as soon as they are about to get you, you can just teleport. Alternatively, while in the moving police vehicle, teleport away and then return an hour later. You’d spawn by the road but not in the car anymore.
The position is the same as if you handt teleported in the first place.
I know people meme around about it but have you actually experienced it yourself? As an Arch user myself, can’t confirm.
(That attitude has completely changed. Maybe give it another try sometime)
Because OP implied that the contract said 17$ and he had just not noticed (because he was promised 17.50$ in the interview). In that case, it is false that he has a right to the reamining 50ct per hour.
So the year 10000000000000000000000 then…?
So in a communist sosciety you wouldnt need those good stories but because of “our capitalistic hellscape” you do? How come? What has this story have to do with capitalism? Absolutely nothing! You just had to rub your (unreasoned) opinion into everyone’s face.
Well, thank you for taking the time to write this detailed explanation!
Windows and MacOS use the abbriviation “MB” referring to the binary units, correct? How come that these big OS’s use another unit than these large international bodies recognize?
On a side note, I’ve always found it weird why HDDs or SSDs are/were sold with 128GB, 265GB, 512GB etc. when they are referring to decimal units.
