I never liked those busses. They were wannabe busses, so wanting to be a route master of old but none of the practicality of one. All show and no trousers, so to speak. Plus, they probably cost a mint to build and by due the customizations.
It’s kind of hypocritical. When we were asking for a confirming vote on the actual deal to leave the EU it was how, unlike the second vote people they for in democracy. Turns out they never believed it. Such mendaciousness.
With the loss of STV, they have gotten away with it somewhat. Now I have to vote tactically, not necessarily who I want First past the post is a racket. A corrupt game created by vested interests in power.

I suspect that she’s also toned down some of the more troubling messaging also.

That’s the trouble with public service broadcasters, they are not immune from political interference.
Jeremy Corbyn got it right, rather than make the controller a political position make them accountable to a independent body. This should go some way to repairing the BBC’s bias problem.
It won’t happen though they are too good a propaganda outfit. Who for? The establishment. Whichever party is in power. So, you want to change the BBC? You need to change government.
And for those that advocate abolition, at least with the current system, you have one lever of power. Good luck in influencing Rupert Murdoch to sway his reporting.
