My neighbor named her dog Isis like the Greek God. It was not timely lol
Zelensky supports absolutely anyone that will put a gun in his hand. If I were in his shoes, I would too.
Anybody know of a way to reduce micropastic pollution from tires that isn’t parking your car? It seems like an inevitable side effect of all tires.
I think it’s pretty exhaustive lol
No, but can you link it?
Is anyone else going through and guessing at where people are from?
All the cheese people I’m guessing are either French or from the American Midwest (the former eating significantly different cheese than the latter). The tea people are probably British. Peanut Butter is likely a North America only thing.
Are you from Wisconsin?
That’s ok, your country is the size of a province.
Oh wow, now I understand why I disagree with them so much. Being communist is one thing, but being antidemocratic is a whole other thing. Thanks for the explanation!
Not sure why you got downvoted. I don’t know what a tankie is, but the rest is spot on.
There’s a lot more column B on the personal finance lemmy if you want to go further!
Yeah, but unfortunately it’s par for the course on lemmy.
There are authors starting to publish without a publisher. I think that is the right direction, not making all books free. Maybe once the publishers have less control there will be some copyright reforms to shorten the time it takes to bring works into the public domain. Right now it is 95 years from publishing, but I think the author’s life plus 30 years or something might make a bit more sense. For example, George Orwell has been dead for over 70 years, but his works are still under copyright.
??? Cotton is usually the cheapest thing I see.
Even natural rubber makes microplastics.
The two largest sources of microplastics are clothing and car tires. Clothing is a pretty easy fix. Only buy natural fibers like cotton, wool, etc. For car tires you will have to drive less. These two sources account for more than half of microplastics.
The plotline to stardew valley comes to mind.
A lot of people are saying Capitalism. Is it straight up capitalism that is the scam or the myth of financial mobility? (the American dream)
Using the name before deciding on it is definitely a critical part of picking a good name.
