This particular capitalist is having a significant impact on that platform.
If that doesn’t concern you (and it doesn’t have to) then carry on with giving no shits.

This seems to be an unedited version of that video with sound. I don’t speak Korean so I can’t validate it against the article, but the bbc has a reputation for being credible so I’m inclined to believe it. https://youtu.be/GcUe4O_53_0
As for the organization, the only mentions I’ve found are almost all about this, with one mention of it being a think tank in South Korea, which is weirdly little information.
Well said. It’s easy enough to say you are unhappy with pay, benefits, or working conditions. Complain about the plights of capitalism. Or say you just don’t want to work, period.
There’s a mountain in between here and there. And the path is well defended by the rich and powerful. It’s going to take a lot of work to have less work.
Vic20. When I was 8 or so. It was a handmedown from my uncle. I remember writing some very basic basic while poking through the manual and playing cartridge and tape games on it. Good times!
One of the news outlets in my area has online classifieds that are well known and utilized. Maybe there’s something like that in your area?
I hear some stories about scams on there, so it’s not immune to that, but I don’t believe it’s a significant problem.
There’s an option C:
avoid YouTube
or just deal with theads
Of course I guess it depends on which devices that that’s an option.
Beehaw is my home in the fediverse, and I’m happy here. I like that they try to maintain a positive community. But if Beehaw left the fediverse, I wouldn’t come along. Which is a change from thinking I might last time I saw this topic come up.
If beehaw ends up in a silo I think it will just have too little to offer for me. And that’s ok. This isn’t about me, it’s about creating a safe space for your disenfranchised users.
I hope Beehaw stays, but I understand if they don’t.
I probably use it about an hour a day. Mostly scrolling through lemmy as of late.
I am very reliant on it though. I need to be contactable both in my personal and professional life.
It’s hyperbole, sure. But it’s not inaccurate. Any given police offer, and I want to believe a large majority mean well. But on the whole there’s truth to it.
Edit: A few, but notably more positive phrasing towards individual officers.
I have my password database synced multiple places and I use two yubikeys (one as a backup) to unlock said password database and for OTP. This protects me from losing access to anything as a result of a lost/broken device.
It doesn’t help in the case of being unable to perform those functions yourself for whatever reason. Perhaps give instructions on how to access all of that to someone trusted?
I hadn’t heard any of this. I have very little trouble believing it though. I’ll have to educate myself.
I haven’t. I just looked at it and it looks great! And pretty inexpensive. I’ll check it out, thanks!
I want Space Engineers, but better.
Building vehicles, ships, and bases block by block as your character is mechanic I enjoy that I haven’t seen elsewhere. I also like the resource gathering. But I would like better physics, better enemy interactions and AI, and water instead of just ice.
I’m not much of a fan of Discovery, as seems to be the case for many Trek fans. It’s alright though. But this aspect I found myself enjoying. I liked the whole mycelial network angle.
Steve. Because of Hiphopotamus vs. Rhymenocerous by Flight of the Conchords.
Vote for the least worst option. Cry because I live in a red state and it won’t make any difference.
Sounds interesting! I’ll check it out.
How’d the show go? Looks like I stumbled on this too late to catch that.
I feel like there’s a joke there comparing semen to the stereotypical Floridian.
You got my number on that one. And you’re right about them being cut from the same cloth and part of a bigger problem. I suppose Musk annoys me more because he’s louder.
I can’t argue against being ethical in media consumption being a waste of time in the sense that the tiny percentage of us that choose to boycott any given platform make no difference. But I think having ideals and following them is worthwhile and I will continue to do so.
But I was also sincere in my statement that I don’t think you (or anyone) has to share that concern. Those are my ideals. They don’t have to be yours and I don’t expect that of anyone.
