I’d say it’s just a click bait title. I guess they’re referring to the fact that Carrie-Ann Moss dies within the first 10 minutes of the first episode and people didn’t immediately turn it off lol

The spaghetti westerness of Mandalorian was done with enough subtlety that it only served to enhance the story without completely overshadowing it. I’ve been enjoying the story in Acolyte but it feels completely overshadowed by all the Kung Fu antics. It feels like less of an ode to kung fu movies and more like someone made a fully realized kung fu series and then just slapped on a bunch of Star Wars stuff to try and make it more profitable.
All the silly kung fu fights and forced samurai references seem to be ruining what could have been a great story…
Don’t get me wrong, I love old kung fu movies, and I LOVE samurai movies and TV shows, but this is too much. I realize the Jedi are somewhat based on samurai characters, but it feels almost like this is just a remake of an old martial arts film with Jedi thrown in so they could name it a Star Wars property
The actual detective/mystery story itself seems pretty interesting but it keeps getting lost under all the other fluff
That’s literally what people have been asking for for nearly 30 years lol when I got the special editions they were still on VHS!
Here’s a fairly exhaustive list. It’s a pretty long read lol
The changes were REALLY jarring and honestly kind of ruined what was an amazing film. I think you must be right about the sycophants because I still can’t imagine why anyone would ever approve this or agree to release it lol
He actually did the same thing in 2004 to the movie he made before Star Wars which was THX 1138. That one is even worse with sharp cg animations and backgrounds laid on top of grainy film stock from like 1969… I don’t know why he thinks that looks good at all or that no one would notice lol
I have been wanting to see the original versions again ever since he released the special editions. Just like the people at Negative One I don’t hate the special editions, but it would be nice to occasionally see the version I remember from childhood before he slapped all that crappy cartoonish CG garbage on there… Beloved old movies from the 70s and 80s do not need computer generated cartoon characters!!!
So really just free reign to ban any music they want then? Or are the police going to walk around with metronomes to check the bpm of random songs? Lol
Probably to keep it from flying away
Wait, that’s a thing??? I can earn programmer money just by using copy & paste??? Maybe it’s time I changed jobs…
I live in the USA. We never got real Kinder Eggs/Kinder Surprise here because of some very silly laws, so we got “Kinder Joy” instead lol
Awesome! I just grabbed another one at the gas station I hope it has McGonagall or Snape!
Edit: I got Mad Eye Moody, which is still pretty cool!
About 8. I’m going to grab two more today lol
Yeah, they come in two halves. Here in the US its actually called “Kinder Joy” and there is no chocolate egg, it’s a plastic egg with chocolate in one half and the toy in the other!
I don’t know that I’ve ever tried them… I think dinosaur nuggets came out in the late 90s when I was like 16 or 17 so I always thought of them as something for little kids and just never bothered with them. I usually get McDonald’s Mcnuggets or make the Tyson ones at home in the oven
My guess is that it’s some kind of fatty binder that’s supposed to be mixed in. Like some kind of grease or wax or something that’s supposed to thicken the dip. I am by no means an expert though.
Is it oily? I wonder if it’s a big clump of one of the ingredients that somehow ended up in the finished product? Like when you get a big greasy boulder of cheese powder at the bottom of the Cheeto bag sometimes?
I think it definitely will, but it will probably be carried out by domestic terrorist Nazis er uh, I mean “white nationalists”
I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree there. I thought Mandalorian made good use of western tropes within the context of a Star Wars story, whereas to me it seems like Acolyte is almost trying steer away from being a Star Wars story at all and just including the bare minimum to still be a part of the franchise. Kind of like what Zack Snyder tried to do with Rebel Moon where he wrote an unrelated movie and then tried to shoe horn it in to the Star Wars universe
