That’s Dwarf Fortress.
That’s Dwarf Fortress.
They need to rewrite 125 of the 200 lines.
And I guarantee, it is much easier to write 200 new lines than change 125 out of 200 lines in somebodies code. No matter how nicely that code is written.
As one physicist to another, the most important thing in the code are long variable names (descriptive) and comments.
We usually do not do multi-people multi year projects, so all other comments in this page especially the ones coming from programmers are not that relevant. Classes are cool, but they are not needed and often obscure clarity of algorithmic/functional programming.
S. Wolfram (creator of Mathematica) said something along these lines (paraphrasing) if you are writing real code in Mathematica - you are doing something wrong.

You can’t use CUDA drivers and then insert translation layer, that translates calls to NVIDIA hardware to calls to non-NVIDIA hardware and use non-NVIDIA hardware with CUDA.
The company OpenAI also paid for LLM training and then sell LLM to users.
Well, if training is included, then why it is not included for the developer? From his first days of his life?
What prevents Hamas hiding behind people waving white flag? And what do you think should happen when Hamas shooting rockets (to civilian centers, by the way, specifically targeting cities without ANY military value) when they do it on purpose from civilian objects? Hamas using civilian objects like hospital, schools etc. is well established fact.
As for percentage, take for example Iraq War. Per Wikipedia about 20K insurgence were killed, the civilian casualties, however are in hundreds of thousands. And those insurgence did not specifically use human shield. So, was it genocide too?
I see no reason for people applying double standards to Israel other than banal antisemitism. And, I personally put the blame for civilian deaths in this war squarely on Hamas. They started this war, planned this situation, specifically knowing that what will likely happen next and were prepared for this and continue using the civilian shields.
When you mix religion with nationalism and antisemitism you get dangerous mixture of people ready to go to haven by killing infidels and ready to scarifies civilians for the same reasons. There is no way for Israel and Palestinian people to live in piece with organization like Hamas present, whose declared goal IS genocide of Israel.
The problem with this particular war is that Hamas purposefully and in mass uses civilian shield. They do not care that civilians will die, in fact it is absolutely obvious and predicted and calculated outcome of their incursion into Israel. The only way for Israel not to kill civilians was not to react at all, which I think was not an option for them. Any attempt to avoid killing Hamas because of the potentially greater civilian casualties leads only to Hamas using civilians even more and in greater number, leading to even more deaths in future.
Grapes.

That’s not what is going on there. Unfortunately for Russian LGBT community, LGPT suppression is selected as anti Western anti democracy propaganda point. People are brainwashed into believing that it is something evil.
What did he say to suggest that this is genocide?
I was not referring to the whole government, only to fringe elements of it.
I am not.
From the article:
He also expressed regret, saying, “It is the result of Korea maximizing the bad points of Confucian culture and the shortcomings of capitalism.”
More carefully means have less civilian casualties, which is a good thing for everyone. As for firing people - they are elected officials, I do not think it is possible to fire them, but they will shut up. Nearly every democratically elected parliament/congress has extreme members. Israel is no different. The problem is that while they are still a fringe in Israel, they are powerful fringe. This ruling helps to reduce their power. Again, a good thing for everyone, including for Israel.
I will argue it is a good thing for Israel too, since it’s right wing government will behave more carefully.
No, the court did not recognize that there is genocide, thus it cannot give the order to stop. The court recognized that there might be a genocide, thus the case will proceed. The other two options were - there is no genocide (through the case away) and there is genocide. But none of these options were realized.
The court also reminded that there shouldn’t be genocide (but without stating that there is)
No! Not the disco!!! Not like that!
