Capitalism optimizes for efficiency. Sadly slavery is terribly efficient in terms of economics. Therefore capitalism needs to be capped by society at certain acceptable limits. Which is called socioeconomics and its not perfect but the best system we have. insert handwavy remark about whatever america is doing here
Have you ever seen any academic IT systems? They are all underfunded ans run by grad students.
Hackers as a kid, got me into IT security. Daemon and Darknet by Daniel Suarez, gave me a new perspective on society.
Awesome but not really solarpunk.
Not exactly the gerne I’m looking for, but will watch it anyways. Looks interesting
Tomorrowland looks awesome. Thanks!

It creates an “us vs. Them” narrative. Like christians and muslims or arians and jews. Oldest trick in the book to get your people to comply with anything.
The feature you are pitching is the distributed nature of the fediverse. It soöves the lock-in problem and the resulting absolute power the big social media companies have over your content and qhat you see.
Content manipulation is still a problem and there are several services that work dosrributed these days so its not the perfect pitch.
Still a worthwhile pick in my book.
I’m missing daddit.
Blatant cruelty and using xenophobia to mask it. Thats some vile shit.
That and controling gullible people.
All kids dont deserve parents like this.
The joke is, that the php devs force the C++ Dev to buy them all a beer. Pretty sure that’s a reference to the nature of the php interpreter being written in C. The C Dev is carrying their water so to speak.
