Didn’t the books reveal it was “what is 6x9”, and the calculation getting thrown off when humans arrived on Earth?

Star Trek DS9: Crossroads of Time on Super Nintendo.
My favorite memory of it was from the first day: a friend telling me I couldn’t use the same phaser twice against Borg drones. I was confident they wouldn’t put a detail like like that in a game. Not two seconds later, the very next drone blocked my phaser. (Clearly one of Trek’s ongoing lessons in the arrogance of man. Ahem.)
Seems silly looking back to think game devs wouldn’t care as much (or more!) as I did about Star Trek to add in ideas like that.
…sources were adamant that there were no political ties.
You just know someone’s proud of themselves for that line.
The intel was “someone’s targeting ex-Starfleet officers”. The dialogue then suggests Starfleet command put together the list of former officers. They didn’t necessarily pull those names from the intel.
Spacewave? It tends to be more slow paced and synth-heavy, and really evokes the feeling of giant planets and stars. For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RlxClUifEw&t=1800 (at the 30 minute mark, though the very first song works too)

So like Ocelot in Metal Gear Solid? (Until they retconned it, anyway.)
I’m relieved to know I’m not the only one who got that mixed up. I had to rewatch the bridge scene to understand they were tracking the ship, and not some psychic outbreak of heightened emotions.
Also, I just now looked ahead. Is the next title really a Garth Marenghi reference? Because that’s amazing.
Records are spotty, but indicate it results from a lack of “updog”.
That it’s not immediately blasting every ship it comes near. It was either oblivious to the Orions’ presence or ignoring them outright, until they were foolish enough to threaten it.
I still haven’t paid to remove ads, and no Adguard, yet I’ve never had a single ad show up. I wonder if there’s a bug.
Did you watch Rebels?
There are space whales with organic hyperdrives. They grabbed Thrawn at the end of Rebels and took him to parts unknown (what we now know is another galaxy). The map appears to be an ancient record of their migration paths, so the presumption is they dragged him along their normal route.
The Klingon breakdown in the final song about had me laughing so hard I was almost in tears. I appreciate using the songs to move various character storylines forward. It feels like everyone ended the episode in a much better place, outside of Spock. …and maybe M’Benga…he didn’t seem thrilled with the singing, though he certainly had some fancy footwork during the final song.
Wow, that was much better. Really cut down the bloat and kept the pace up. I particularly liked how you handled the forest chase scene with Leia’s kidnappers.
Bummer ending to the 3rd Sister’s story arc though. :(
I can’t get past “Verbwire”. Like they picked the second half of the name, but then creativity ran out.
About the bed: There seems to be an ongoing sub-plot about random systems on the ship glitching out. I’ve seen speculation they’re quietly setting up some kind of AI takeover issue later on. Note the odd shot the episode ends on, with the bed’s info screen flickering again.
You might want to read that again. It was clearly a joke.
Agreed on the buzz. Even among Trek discussions it feels like Prodigy is mentioned about as often as TAS.
I think it’s a worthy addition to the franchise, and if you’re enough of a fan to be commenting in a Star Trek Lemmy instance of all places, I recommend watching it at some point. Just be warned it takes several episodes to find its groove and feel like Trek. I enjoyed it from the start (I love seeing different perspectives within this universe), but it kicks off in a very different setting than we’re used to, and I think that turned some people away. I.

Seems it’s a promo for season 2 of TOS and the show’s new timeslot on Fridays. The lettering is a nod to Laugh-In, and the whole timeslot shuffle is a long story.
Also I see Google has completely given up on quotation marks around phrases. So that’s fun.
