I think the exact opposite, ML is good for automating away the trivial, repetitive tasks that take time away from development but they have a harder time with making a coherent, maintainable architecture of interconnected modules.
It is also good for data analysis, for example when the dynamics of a system are complex but you have a lot of data. In that context, the algorithm doesn’t have to infer a model that matches reality completely, just one that is close enough for the region of interest.
Didn’t Mythbusters just prove that the particular kind(s) of fecal bacteria they checked for are present everywhere at all times?
Mythbusters proved that there are fecal bacteria everywhere and as such you can never reasonably completely avoid it. However, they didn’t prove whether there are other bacteria or viruses that are kept contained with a closed lid compared to with an open lid, or if the viral/bacterial load is lower with a closed lid.
No country with allies is independent anymore, 99.9% of the world in shambles.
Gets me soooo hard
I think I know what you meant but be aware that this can be very misinterpreted.
My go-to song for turning into a sobbing mess on the floor is Sting (feat. Ray Chen) - What Could Have Been. Hits very hard.
…what do you think democracy is?
If you pick one at random, I’d say it’s about 50/50 of finding a racist.
Oh, look it’s the bearded racist man!
and there is less crime
I wouldn’t necessarily bet on this, authoritarian states are breeding grounds for corruption and that in turn fuels crime. I wouldn’t be surprised if China has a problem with criminality that the government, at least on a local level, not only turns a blind eye to but is complicit in.
What are the “far greater social costs” of cannabis compared to tobacco?
Every US president would have accepted it, most heads of state of any country in the world throughout history would have accepted it.
I’m sure wanting to shoot black people with automatic weapons has no correlation with fascistic ideals either.
Vattenfall? Like the swedish state-owned supplier of hydropower? That Vattenfall?
“Quick! Eject the warp core engineers!”
If you look at this comment, the comparison should more realistically look like this
What are you talking about, when have I insulted you?
Regardless, you didn’t provide much of a rebuttal to the information other than calling it cherry-picked and bullshit attempts at paltering.
C++ is unironically my favorite language, especially coding in python feels so ambiguous and you need to take care of so many special cases that just wouldn’t even exist in C++.
