It seems, at the very least, deceitful. If you don’t want to give money, just don’t and don’t pretend otherwise.

Assuming you’re referring to the fast part, no. I don’t think it’s understandable for any human.
Clarifying a cryptic abbreviation with another cryptic abbreviation doesn’t really help matters I’m afraid.
Here in Germany many programming jobs, maybe even most, offer WFH these days. Sometimes you need to be in the office for 1 or 2 days a week, but often it’s fully remote. I work at a software development agency in a large city, but live in a village about 2.5 hours away. Haven’t been to the office for like 2 years.
Personally I think it would be unfortunate. I like some of the communities on beehaw I’m subscribed to, but I’m not sure I’d bother to switch over. Even right now, many posts I see don’t get any interactions, others just a few and that’s with users from other instances. I’d imagine starting over would kill many of these communities off almost entirely.
So what? Corruption doesn’t justify starting a devastating war and trying to grab their land.

Well there you have it.
it is interesting that you lept to that conclusion. That is something a narcissist would do, but I don’t know you so I’ll definitely not calling you that.
I… really don’t know what your problem is. It’s possible to have a civil discussion without throwing around implications like that. Especially if it’s about the frigging definition of a word.
Dictionaries are descriptive not prescriptive, so not sure how that’s relevant in this discussion.
OP asked if something is a lie, so the definition of a lie is what’s relevant to answer this question. OP did not ask for a moral judgement.
Calling me a narcissist for having a different definition of a lie than you is… interesting. I never said it would relieve them of responsibility. You are still responsible for your mistakes and need to stand up for them. But that wasn’t the question. Most definitions of “lie” I can find, such as Merriam Webster’s do explicitly include intent to deceive.
I don’t think so. That would make it a mistake. Just like if I made a claim that I believed true but wasn’t.
A lie needs to be intentional. If they meant to fulfill the promise, it wasn’t a lie.
Not sure if it can really be considered hidden, but many people don’t seem to know about TreeSize. It’s an incredibly useful tool to find out what takes up space on your drives.

They have kept their game relevant for so long that they are actually getting brand new customers just trough birthrates.
Can confirm. My nephew is 9, younger than Terraria itself, and has recently become obsessed with the game.
Sea of Thieves has microtransactions.
No Man’s Sky was wildly successful at launch, making the devs a ton of money. I guess they felt bad about not delivering on their promises, so they used that money to fund further development.
Easy enough to do in VR, but you’ll just get a splitting headache and eyestrain. Human brains are not set up to deal with this.
Yes, at least in Germany they do. Homeopathy is pretty mainstream here.
I’d argue it does matter. For me as a foreigner it matters, because it’s not unlikely Trump will leave NATO. Without NATO, it’s not unlikely that Putin decides to try and grab some Baltic states. The order of the world hangs in the balance and if it tips over, it will get much worse than many of us can even imagine. I’m not confident that Biden can fix anything, but I’m fairly sure the outcome for the Western world will be much worse under Trump.
Probably didn’t harm me ultimately, as he did prescribe regular medicine when it was really needed (in addition to some sugar pills usually). Still, it might not have harmed me, but it sure didn’t help me, only filling the pockets of some quack companies.
I’d be surprised if any of them didn’t catch it.
