I use Kbin and I see it as “removed by moderator.”
Star Trek: Year Five - four-volume trade paperback (from the comic books)
Outstanding pacing, art, and characterization. Uhura really gets a chance to show her expertise in communications. Several connections to the original series, but they don’t feel like they’re just awkwardly-forced name checks.
One of the reasons you don’t know Detmer was they made a conscious decision to make a “one main character” show instead of an ensemble show. They were consciously not trying to develop anyone but Burnham, and to a lesser extent Saru, then Stamets.
Where does quality news come from if people aren’t willing to pay for it?
“I can’t imagine it would have been good, but boy do I wish I existed in a universe where this movie had been made.” — This is the perfect reaction and I cannot improve on it in any way.
Piggybacking on myself. I can’t figure out how to subscribe to one of the other communities. One says to paste “!cfb@fanaticus.social” into my instance’s serach field, but when I do that, I get a result that says “empty.”
I do wonder how new communities will reach critical mass. I don’t understand how fediverse searches and tags work yet. How do people discover a new community about cute seals or Toledo or Fortnite?
Do the creators of these communities need to be using tags in a certain way?
Reddit is the big news right now, so that makes sense. It’s news even outside of our own circle of technophiles and ex-redditors.
It’s up to us to spread things out. A whole bunch of us are just waiting for someone else to take a step. If we take the step ourselves, people will join in, AND new users checking out the platform for the first time will see familiar things that make them feel like they’ve come to the right place.
A lot of people in these comments sleeping on Prodigy. I think it’s very good and would probably put it behind only Strange New Worlds. For me, the start of the season is just meh and feels more Star Wars Kidsy, but the season just grows and grows and has a real heart, real drama, and action.
Well, he’s barely had to show up for work so far this season!
Also, seems an odd decision to cast your captain then schedule your show, rather than the other way around. Voyager profited from unexpectedly recasting the captain after shooting began! (And if anyone doesn’t know that story, you should look it up… there are videos…)
So what’s your ideal scenario for what should have happened? US authorities apprehend the former President, charge him with no crimes, and ship him out of the country?
I am not versed in how the ICC works. Are /were there indictments or the equivalent? What grounds would a President have for detaining and removing a predecessor?
