I’m no earth doctor, but wouldn’t it be the other way around? Continental drift would affect the lifeforms abilities to survive and adapt, and that in turn would affect the continents surface features, but not the drifting itself?

Weird how that works, I would have coped with the pandemic better if the religious people in my area actually took it seriously rather than just stick their heads in the sand and ignore everything around them.
As my old english teacher used to say, “Ignorance is bliss.”
Ya, deer are not smart. I’ve had deer literally run towards me and into the side of my semi truck in an attempt to “get away.” I saw it coming from about a quarter mile away, and it just kept running towards me. I even blew the horn a few times. I was basically at a stop when it bumped into me. (It survived, but probably was feeling very stupid later.) And this was still during daylight hours. I’ve also had one trip over the hood of my car while stopped.
I can only assume wherever they think is a safe spot when they panic they’ll potentially bolt towards it, despite anything or anyone in the way.

I think it was more a matter of timing. It was in the fall around hunting season when more people are out running around in the bush and deer are on the move.
The whistles were our safety officers idea. The rest of us pretty much knew they were crap. (Or at least some of us did) The safety guy wasn’t too sure either but figured they were cheap enough to at least give them a shot.
It didn’t help matters that we were operating in an area with a very dense population of deer either. I’ve personally counted over 80 standing in a field by a road.
A company I worked for put them on all their vehicles one year to try and cut down on deer damage to our trucks. (About 45 vehicles or so)
Deer collisions went up immediately. At best they didn’t work, at worst it was actively spooking them… either way they were removed shortly thereafter and the incident rates started dropping soon after that.
Why not? They’ve done it before, both accidentally and on purpose. https://www.newsweek.com/russia-shoots-down-own-jet-second-time-su-35-1832781
Ah ok, that makes sense… trying to build up trust I suppose.
Don’t a lot of scammers spoof their numbers?

Giggity. I still have one in my junk drawer, although I tossed the mouse it belonged to years ago.
Have you tried compressed air? It may not do anything if it’s stuck in there but may be worth a shot.
And from what I understand it takes years for our emissions to react in the environment, so this is the consequences of our polluting from years ago… even if we stop everything today, we will still have a few decades of heating before it can level out.
It may be time to sell my snowblower while it’s still worth something.
They are definitely worth it in my opinion. I picked mine up used from a thrift store for something like $20 just to give it a shot, and I’m hooked. I’ve have been using it regularly for the last 4 years now.
A little late but just to add to my other reply, most breadmakers have a dough setting that allows you to toss your ingredients in and it’ll just make the dough for you. Then you can take the dough and bake it the rest of the way the old fashioned way. (It’s the way I make bagels and pizza dough)
I highly recommend one just for the ease of use. There’s lots of good recipes online. One tip is if your machine seems to struggle a bit when it’s kneading, just add a bit more water/milk to the recipe to smooth it out.
Nope. Just throw the ingredients into the machine and turn it on. my machine won’t do anything for the first few minutes then it’ll start doing it’s thing. In about an hour and 20 minutes later it’ll beep to let you know to add nuts/raisins etc (If you so desire) and after that it’ll start the actual baking process.
From the time it’s turned on it takes 3 hours and ten minutes before it’s finished. at that point you can either pop the loaf out or it’ll go into 'warming mode" and just sit there and keep itself warm.
I can also do bagels and pizza dough for it, which works well. Saves a lot of the effort of beating up the dough.
I got myself a breadmaker for that same reason, and I’m kind of lazy when it comes to baking. I love the fact that all I have to do is toss the ingredients in, and 3 hours later I have nice fresh warm bread that cost next to nothing to make.
If someone is judging me for what I want to eat, I’m not the one with the masculinity issues.
From your example, what I’m saying is nobody should be cleaning a sewer for minimum wage. If you need your sewer fixed you can either do it yourself or pay someone enough that they’d be willing to do it.
If you can’t pay someone enough, obviously fixing that sewer wasn’t important enough to you.
I’m not saying everyone should get the same wage. There’s a huge difference between flipping burgers and working in a mine, and the pay should reflect that.
Potatoes work with nearly everything. I get 50 pound boxes of Potatoes locally for $25 and it’s rare a box lasts more than a month in my house, from hashbrowns to fries, baked, and even soups. Nothing can really replace them as far as I’m concerned.
