8 months agoPretty sure it’s to enable extensions written in JS. These apps build their success on a rich ecosystem of plugins. And, like it or not, JS plays a big part in that.

1Password isn’t open source, is it? I use it and I’m super happy with it though. I don’t mind paying a bit for good security. I do wish it was OSS though.
I don’t disagree, but that’s not what most people care about.
