Its a very bad time to be gay in Russia.
I don’t think not being gay changes much in this statement

But we want to stop those people from starving. And if we ideally lived in a world where no one is starving, emissions would go up astronomically.
Don’t forget he basically said Charlie Hebdo had it coming.
Dude’s still an ass, he’s just a comparatively smaller ass than his predecessors.
If they did that there would probably be more churches than clergymen left.
(Not that I see a downside, but they probably do)
Sure, but the deposit system doesn’t create pollution either and is also a much smaller inconvenience.
That honestly seems like a hassle. Long trips and stuff I understand, but if I’m just hanging with my friends with nothing on me I don’t want to carry a bag just to put a cup in it.
The deposit system they’re using in that town seems much better to me, as long as that’s an option I’m on board.
…how exactly is any country higher than North Korea? Aren’t they basically all slaves?
Millennial/Gen Z depending on definition here, I did not.
And after watching it I’m still not convinced it wasn’t an impersonator sketch.
If there were 100 people to blame for all of this I could go out and kill them, but 100 million? What the hell can any of us do about that?
Oh you could definitely go a long way by killing the right 100 people. I think killing even one of those would require a coordinated effort by way too many people though, so not that it changes much.
Silly Americans, just buy a Minigun! No way a toddler can operate a Minigun. I think.
Uhh… what about China, ruled for the past 70+ years by the “Communist Party of China”…?
Communism in itself is a great ideology, it’s just that applying it correctly requires an unreal amount of effort and cooperation between millions of people.
And since that’s extremely hard, if not impossible, to do in a realistic setting, the only countries that identify as communist are actually fascist ones who try to fool people into believing they aren’t.
People can have “real political views” that are different from yours, y’know.
I think they’re crazy as well, but thinking they’re all just teenagers who don’t know any better is naive. Especially if you look at the US, you should know it’s full of adults with really horrible political views.
One dude offered me a sandwich when he saw me dumpster diving. He said to stay in the area and I was desperate. I hadn’t eaten in days. Dude left and came back with a gas station sandwich that had clearly been previously unwrapped. Encouraged me to eat it. I opened it and the guy had put dog shit in the sandwich. I refused and he started to get aggressive but other people were around and started watching. That made him uncomfortable and he left.
Honestly, what stops me from going crazy on assholes is thinking of everything I’d lose if I did. But if I’m already homeless and you offer me a sandwich with dog shit inside I don’t care, I’m beating you until I crush your skull. You don’t play around with cornered rats. You really have to be one of the worst people on the planet to do that, I’m doing a favor to humanity by removing you from it.
Normal people reading dystopian fiction: “wow, the author really portrayed well the downfall of humanity if we were to go down the wrong path”
Billionaires reading dystopian fiction: “hey, you know what…”
The thing that pisses me off the most is “””eco-friendly””” companies doing shrinkflation. My guy, you can tell me it’s recycled plastic or whatever, if the portions are smaller you’re still pumping out more plastic than before, asshole.
Truly a masterpiece. Shame it’s the least known Kon movie and it got a BD/streaming release in very few countries, in mine you either go to sketchy sites or buy the used DVD for 150€. Deserves way more recognition.
There’s quite some Anime movies I like more than Princess Mononoke (Perfect Blue, Wolf Children, Ghost in the Shell…) but it’s undoubtedly a masterpiece. That’s the one that should be the spearhead of Ghibli, not Spirited Away.
Well, then you just watch the good ones. It’s been ages since TV Shows (and anime) got popular, there’s stuff like Breaking Bad or Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood that are tried and tested and almost everyone likes. There’s personal taste too, sure, but I think it’s hard to find someone that doesn’t like a single genre that has at least 3/4 classic acclaimed shows.
Yes, I know, the article speaks for itself. It was more of a joke about how it’s “a very bad time to be in Russia, period”.
