Voting for a third party is not “taking a vote away” from anyone.

You’re arguing with someone who would in all likelihood JUST NOT VOTE if not for an alternative option. If you want assurances that fascism doesn’t get voted in, how about you direct that passion towards getting people to vote for someone, anyone, instead of staying at home? That is the only certain way of getting not-the-GOP-candidate elected time and time again. Republicans always come out to vote in about the same numbers every election. Just get more people voting, and not only do the Dem numbers go up, but the viability of a third party goes up astronomically as well.

If only the situation were even that “good” for Palestine. It’s been an occupied territory by Isreal for years - long before last Oct. There already are “border fences” - Gaza has been under blockade by Isreal for at least 2 decades, restricting any movement of Palestinians. I recommend having a look at a map to see just how dire the situation is for Palestine when they have Isreal right in the middle and all around simultaneously.

Palestine isn’t even recognized as a country by several, including - conveniently - Isreal and the US.

So, neither of those proposed alternatives would really be a good argument to Israel I’m afraid.

Yeah, I hate this rhetoric in general of “this is how it has to be done, we never deviate from the way we’ve always done it”.

Cause the status quo has just been great, hasn’t it everyone? What “worked” in all previous instances of less than 50 presidencies over the span of almost 250 years will surely continue to work in every context of the modern and future eras. Surely.

Different priced drinks, especially that much disparity, will give you pretty different clientele as well. More expensive place might just want to avoid the crowded, rowdy nights you’re more likely to have at the cheaper pubs.

I am a lazy launderer and my partner has loads of clothes of various fabrics.

My trick that has never let me down:

wash everything on cold

When rotating to the dryer, indiscriminately pick out any tops that don’t feel like regular “t shirt” fabric, pick out all bottoms that aren’t obviously cotton, pick out all wool, pick out all dresses, button up shirts, skirts, or “full body” garments as regardless of what fabric they feel like they tend to be more sensitive to the heat.

The rest can go in the dryer, but hang dry all the stuff you picked out.

I might end up hang drying more than I need to, but it beats the hell out of checking the tag on every individual garment.

My current and previous jobs provided macbooks for “security” and the one with my last job would not charge on the right USB ports. I assumed this was just expected, like only one side was actually hooked up to the battery while the other was just for data transfer.

Elmlea plant based double cream

We’ve been drinking heavy cream/double cream/whipping cream in our coffee for years but started trying out some plant based alternatives to a lot of our foods a few years ago. The only one we kept going with was this cream. Exact same cost as the dairy version, and tasted exactly the same.

I wish I could speak towards other brands, this was the only one we tried and stuck with it. I think it might be UK only though…
