If I understand this correctly in my use case Assistant will get worse in my car with a aftermarket head unit. The mic isn’t that great on the radio and I’ve had better luck using the handset mic instead.

I have a couple of phones in use. 1 never answers which is fine as I have a display too, but the other answers every time I can do that if you unlock your device first.

I’ve seen people argue the real numbers of the decline for China are much worse than they have shared and they may already be past the point of no return like Japan and South Korea. It’s going to be interesting to see how they handle an aging population.

Asia does have a more recent tradition of kids being the retirement plan so they might fair a little better than places like the US where that is not the norm anymore. The US with their infrastructure crumbling from underfunding and a general lack of care, should provide a good side by side comparison of the ride down with the differences of family versus industry support of seniors.

It almost seems like a trap was set with the low interest rates, cheap mortgages, and plenty of stimulus money being released in the market.

Now with everything skyrocketing in cost to maintain so many have been found to have their hands in the trap.

For me coming from the Westcoast with lots of rain at sea level the lack of drain fields around the houses in the Prairies was a similar moment for me when I was looking at homes for a move many years ago. Their drain spouts just run out into the yard above the ground. It was a what the heck is going on here?

Their basements are also fully enclosed under ground. On the coast we require a secondary drain field just for the down spouts and the basements are only halfway in the ground so it was very strange to me.

What a shame the inaction of one generation is going to mean eventually the younger generations becoming Cannon fodder again due to this burying the head in the sand and giving Putin just what he needs to keep going beyond Ukraine.

The Brandon thing was a big boon to the Maga grifters as it created more new things one needs to collect to show your true level of being a Patriot.

You could then change out your Trump flag curtains for the Brandon stuff. Some are brave enough to change them out for the Nazis stuff when the time is right too. It completes the set when combined with the Southern Surrender flags as your curtains or bath towel.

What I can’t figure out is why when viewing Lemmy by All -> New, there are bots (I think) creating many posts daily with links to back to reddit. It’s in many different instances I set these being created.

Last year at this time I had survived driving home from the Oregon Coast through a hell of a snowstorm in Portland with freezing rain to make it back to snowmageddon in Vancouver just in time for Xmas. This year I’m kinda of happy for rain and a high of 7C today.
