My favorite little story was while working short-term at a company. Had some issues, did my normal troubleshooting steps and Google searches, identified what I felt the issue was and knew I wouldn’t have enough access to fix it. Reached out and got a response “Blah blah blaaah schedule blah blah Remote-In.”

Later on he sent me a message and remotes into my computer. I take control quick, open up notepad, and type out “Hi!”

To this day I swear that little show earned me more difficult fake phishing attempts. Which I mention because he specifically told me one day he had experience in the information security sector. Lo’ and behold!

This is because of tolerance. Those on the left teach and preach it. They turn their noses up. Act like it isn’t there, or avert their eyes and call it someone else’s problem.

Bluntly speaking: Y’all spineless up until there is no other choice.

Last year or so I’ve both heard and read far less of the “I can’t protest because I need this job/money/don’t have days off/[insert excuse here]”. The writing has been on the proverbial wall for quite some time, in big bold neon, blinking letters. When you all stop arguing with one another, and stop working hard to displace responsibility, many on the Left have proven they can actually read.

Yes, I’m a bit annoyed. For years, both online and off, I’ve been saying the same shit. Recently, I’ve begun to feel vindicated, and you know what? It fucking sucks.

Hold hands, it’s up to us now.

Oh god that reminds me of an old boss. I’m the type to sit in meetings and listen. Taking in everything and asking few questions/making few statements. I got pulled aside one afternoon and asked, “Why aren’t you participating in the meetings? You hardly speak up and sit there looking bored.” So after a few minutes of this talk I absolutely began asking the actual hard questions that I used to water down while putting in applications on the side.

Got pulled into a meeting a couple months (and several interviews) later on some email discussion I forwarded as way of explanation for a situation I was loosely involved with. The other email participant and I had a very strong relationship and because of that some professionalism fell off. Nothing truly informal. More khakis than dress pants if you will. Anyway, they tried slapping me with the old dreaded formal warning not over the situation, over “my tone used with another professional”, so I pulled out the undated and unsigned notice I had been carrying around since that initial talk.

Anyway, story went on longer than expected. Point is, sometimes you’re fucked either way.

Oooh. Okay yeah, that explains it. Communication is the number one thing that most people struggle with. I’m constantly pestering my bosses about communicating even slightly important information that could affect me a rung down. Then even when it is reported it isn’t effective or concise, or if it is concise it’s unclear.

Okay. I’m beginning to get a grasp on it.

So essentially taking complex ideas or situations and breaking them down a’la eli5 style to the suits and other personnel that may not otherwise understand. At the same time in other situations or roles, taking expectations and directives from higher up and breaking them down so they’re digestible and workable.

Man, these job descriptions really makes it sound like you’re going to be doing incredibly complicated and potentially invasive team-to-team tasks. When in reality you’re trying to get a bunch of cats to work together without slapping one another.

I’m still not sure exactly what Project Managers do. I’ve seen countless job postings and even stories from people claiming to have been one. Yet, more often than not they get shit on, and memes often have a kernel of truth. #ConfusedHumanPerson

Okay. What is your perspective on the image/situation?

I feel that quite a few people are tired, mostly. So they project those negative feelings, with a sprinkle of zero research, and a dollop of regurgitation, and point it all at whomever happens to be at the highest point of whatever they want to blame. In this case: Biden. Bob Ross could be in the seat and things could be absolutely amazing and people would still find something. It’s just the way it is, heightened by the sheer number of folks who are at various levels of angry and confused.

None of it is right, of course. Nor does it provide an excuse for behavior. It is, at least, one reason of many that I’m way to lazy to tap out and run through with two fingers. The best the rest of us can do is continue to be reasonable and to work together, while fighting against foolish perspectives and holier-than-thou accusations and finger pointing lightly disguised as shallow arguments.

As for me: I’m on the side of “more likely to make things better.” and we know why that happens to be the case. One step at a time. Let’s just make sure to not fall off and continue working locally and at State level.

I use Premium, though I don’t subscribe to literally any other service. That said, I’m losing patience with the price increases. One more and I’m likely going to nope out. For me, for now, it’s worth it to avoid potential hassle and is about the only thing I have in my life atm that doesn’t cause some level of worry or concern.
