I didn’t like it but I think a season 2 was best than canceled, what did I gain watching s1? There’s no story, only setups and now everything was thrown in the garbage, what a waste of time.

This is a major problem in any disney+ series. They all look like a movie stretch into 8 episodes. Mandalorian more episodic in season 1 and Andor are the exception.

Better than Ahsoka? Some fight and the season finale are better but overall? Ahsoka for me has more engaging episodes and likeable characters and better acting overall. Ahsoka is 6.5/10, Acolyte 5/10 for me.

I tried to avoid discussion about the series for most part but something is on my mind and I don’t see people talking about.

Why this season feels like nothing? Like all thing that I find interesting of “a show set 100 years before the prequels, the High Republic, when the Jedis are in their peak” will probably happens in the second season and not in the first one? Plagueis, the Sith training, the start of the fall of the Jedi and the politics of the Republic with the Jedis. We only see glimpses of this things and the show focus on characters that I not invested. This season seems like it could be the lettering of season 2.

Yeah I got pretty triggered from this video too, but the other redesign she made kinda go against the money grabbing/attention grabber that most products nowadays have.

No definitely but in Clone Wars/Rebels/Bad Batch still have some episodes that are more open and mundane and do not advance the narrative, but it works in a large season with multiples episodes, for Disney series with few episodes these episodes take too much time for the plot of the season, I really like the idea of the episodic adventure but sometimes doesn’t works the way they wanted to work.

My only problem with the series is the format of small movies per episode, some episodes inevitability will be less important and interesting. I fear that the next episode will be a let down compare to others, like what happened with Kenobi and Boba Fett.

For me the way Andor was made with arcs with 3 episodes solves these problems.
