The language concerning it is pretty poisoned. If you use a sentence that in any way alludes to the existance of innocent Palestinians OR if you compare or equate Israelis and Palestinians together in any way shape or form you’d be considered an anti-Israeli anti-semite.

All the candidates dropping out to endorse the guy who had thus far been pretty much last was quite the maneuver indeed.

The only things to add would be Warren staying in the race through Super Tuesday. Her supporters would say she was trying to spark a contested convention where she thought she would win the gamble. Her opponents would say she stayed in too long and just worked to keep Sanders campaign from having momentum and kept the left disorganized and divided after the Biden camp drew lines and consolidated.

That and the Clyburn maneuver: Sanders was toast. But that’s how shit went down and we all kinda lost.

The leader of Northern Ireland’s Social Democratic and Labour party, Colum Eastwood, last week said he was making his oath “under protest” and that his true allegiance was to the “people of Derry and the people of Ireland”.

His colleague Claire Hanna prefaced it in Irish and English when she was sworn in, saying: “In friendship and in hope of a reconciled new Ireland, my allegiance is to the people of Belfast South and Mid Down & I say these words in order to serve them.”

Generally they’re seeking a specific level of coffee flavor. My spouse does this and its specifically to balance the flavor ratios of the drink.

If the third shot is regular they’re likely just managing caffeine intake while maintaining flavor. My spouse also does this.

A lot of what these protests are trying to do is make it harder to ignore the reality of what is happening.

Now I agree these kind of protests don’t gain support. But they’re not trying to win support: they’re trying to make people aware of the problem as one that shosuldn’t be ignored.

The gamble is the cause is important enough and sympathetic enough that forcing people to be aware of it might get people towards political action. Even if it is just calling their representstive and going ‘wtf’.

For Americans every dollar we earn at work and every cent of tax we pay is a contributing factor in the conflict. But many are aware and think that is just fine. That is my personal concern with this protest: a lot of Americans are completely stoked about it and protesting just makes them shrug and go ‘purple hairs lol’.
