OP, like me, probably doesn’t/didn’t know that the website interface for Lemmy has a solution for this and it’s actually an app problem. So to OP it is a “Lemmy” gripe until we’re given more info. :)

Semi-related, my dad taught me if no one was hurt/nothing bad happened to start with that. Like if a friend was in a car accident I start “Everyone is ok, but Michael got rear ended this morning” or “There was minimal damage thankfully, but a tornado went through Jessica’s neighborhood last night”. No point in making someone go through that roller coaster.
Besides, sync was always monetized, and everyone that was asking/begging Dawson to migrate the app knew that. The only people surprised are people that didn’t use it to begin with, and aren’t going to use it now.
I’m an iPhone user so never had Sync, but even I’m confused about how upset people are. It’s like they’re trying to be offended on behalf of Sync users? Like…Sync users aren’t forced to use it and aren’t forced to pay for it. They choose to because they like the app and appreciate what the dev does. I loved Apollo and while I know Christian isn’t going to make a Lemmy app, if he did I would pay for it/pay for an ad free version because I know he does good work and I like his product.
Same. I hate driving as well, I can’t imagine driving somewhere for 4 hours, doing something, then turning around and driving back another 4 hours the same day.
I’m for crediting original sources, but I don’t see it as a rule in the sidebar? But I’m also browsing on mobile and I know us mobile users sometimes can’t see things.
my second objection is that that copying bash entries is meaningless activity - everyone can just go to where they already are to see them.
Couldn’t this be said of…anything posted to an aggregator site? A large chunk of Lemmy (and Reddit) is screenshots of other sites.
and last - that post was not funny when it was new and time did not help it 🤷♂️
A lot of stuff posted to Lemmy isn’t funny to me either but my opinion doesn’t matter much.
Not sure if I’m wooshing or you’re serious about being this particular about this post.
I prefer swipe to hide, but yes I would like a manual way to hide individual posts without having to open each one.
This has been submitted on GitHub and I believed marked as low priority, so it’s planned but not an immediate focus.
Yea I meant plant-based “milks” (I know they’re now called “beverages” but I haven’t come around to it just yet).
Milk but no “non-dairy milk” option?
Additionally, within Memmy, if you visit the community (in this case “ass”) and click in the upper right “…” you will have the option to block the community from showing in any of your feeds.

Kind of like how you can use your Facebook or Google account to create logins for different sites? Seems like it would be entirely possible to have a “Fediverse” login.
If you’re viewing in compact mode on wefwef I believe that’s a known issue.
No, there’s one called Artemis in dev but since kbin doesn’t have an a available API yet it’s not easy.
This is deliciously mild.
