I went to a Waldorf-Kindergarden and while it was okay mostly (except for some weird stuff like having no black crayons and not being allowed to leave white parts in paintings - or being left-handed, that was fun!) I would never ever recommend it to anyone, solely on the basics that it’s basically an ideology not unlike conspiracy-myths/religions. Even if you don’t realise it as a pupil I think it’s very dangerous - especially in today’s ai-fucked, post-truth climate - to grow up / learn in an institution that is basically anti-science (since is based on random shit* some racist dude made up a hundred years ago).

*Can’t really remember but there are some weird theories about children’s mental development that are super out of date and mean that children aren’t allowed to learn stuff they’re super interested in because “they’re not ready yet”. Not a place I would want to sent anyone.

I would also replace the harddrive with an SSD (and maybe replace it (mini) pc once you can afford it). With a Pi you run your OS from an sd-card which can work for some time but isn’t ideal from what I’ve heard.

Tldr: They’re a reminder of slavery, some people feel uncomfortable using / hearing them, it would not be hard for you to make their lifes a bit better by not using them but you can obviously do whatever you like.

I’m not sure how well it translates into societies, though. I love the principles of anarchy, I strongly believe that there should be no one ruling over or deciding for other people but I’m not sure this would work in reality since I can just see how the people with the “big stick” (armies) would just invade us while we’re endlessly debating what the best course of action is. I know this is a bleak outlook on the world but you can kind of see it happening now where Russia can just count on Europe and the US arguing among themselves (in their respective systems) while the dictatorship is just fucking shit up. I sure hope I’m proven wrong!
