That is cool.
You might enjoy Adrian Tchaikovsky’s series “Children of Time”. It’s a fascinating sci-fi series that examines how other species might communicate and a fantastic read (or listen).

Sounds good. Did it come to a conclusion or get axed mid way?
Not a visual representation but there is a list on Wikipedia of Russian generals killed in this war.
It is one metric fuck tonne of senior staff, no doubt lots of it coming from solid intel and HIMARS or similar.
I think they have fairly strict monetary controls to prevent that.
I spent a decent amount of time in China before COVID and the amount of semi finished husks of buildings was alarming. They definitely over-built and the piper is finally getting paid it looks like.
100% agree with this one. Just drop it in a card with a note. The stress removed by having a birthday sorted is going to heavily outweigh the pride issue.
Also salaries are lower.
Could any Aussies on here comment on what labour laws are like there? Is she likely to win?
Glad to see her colleagues standing with her anyway.
Fair enough. I was quite happy with the biscuits I had. They fit the gravy nicely as a more savoury dish. I wouldn’t have liked scones with what I had.
How about “one”? Scwun.
It’s actually really good, just nothing like you’d expect from the name. I was curious about it and ordered it on a trip there. Very heavy meal but very tasty.
I had biscuits and gravy on my last trip to the States. Scones are very different. Much fluffier. Mostly the scones I’ve had have fruit in them too.
Edit: our gravy is nothing like the one I got served either
If I’m reading this correctly it’s saying about 1 in 4 people in Dublin pronounce it like “gone” and that is absolutely false. Never once have I ever heard that pronunciation here.
CONE GANG!
edit: I’d be curious how other English speaking countries pronounce it.
Reading through replies it seems Americans are cone heads while Aussies are gone. Fascinating.
Godspeed ladies!
I watched it live yesterday. Just happened upon it on the national broadcaster here and couldn’t turn it off. The lady lawyer was absolutely incredible. Follow up speakers were excellent also and made very strong arguments.
Definitely will be tuning in to hear Israel in the morning.
Workbench was an absolutely incredible piece of kit. Just so far ahead of its time.
My Amiga story is that I tried to read through the enormous manuals that came in the box one summer because I thought I’d be able to code if I did. I think I was about 11 or 12. Needless to say that didn’t work out.
Life before the internet really had huge drawbacks.
I still used to fire it up at 18 or so for late nights playing civ. Loved that computer so much.
This sounds like my wife when her B12 gets low. She needs regular injections.
It honestly could be any number of things. You should go and see a doctor.
Macbook air
What?!?
y’all are old now
Oh. Yeah. Well I suppose it makes sense when you put it like that.
Magnificent. I have hum off and beeps off and love it.
