HP Touchpad from 2011 that was given to me.
I try not to hoard stuff in case I ever need to relocate, so my list of owned items isn’t big. I would love to collect retro consoles otherwise.
Internet rando.

We had guests over, and they made homemade perogies.
They were great.
Ah I wasn’t aware which script it was. It’s just one of the emoticons available in Sync for Lemmy.

Haven’t felt the need to use them as often. Emojis and “lol haha” work fine for me.
I have Call Screen on my Pixel 6a doing a lot of heavy lifting for me.
I really wish there was a non-Google version of it that everyone could download and use.
1-2 yes
3-4 no (or at least, not yet)
Has it been a perfect migration? No.
There are a ton of quirks that need to be worked out, but I’m still betting on the Fediverse because of its openness and philosophy.
I had to work overnight during a clock change.
All I had to do was log 10 hours, so it didn’t really matter.
Things would get really quiet without them.
Eventually I can see getting rid of them, but for now they’re keeping Lemmy active.
Physical, because “it just works”. I have had a SIM fail on me once, but I was quickly able to get a replacement. Popped out the old one and popped in the new one. No fuss.
eSIM on the other hand requires competency from both your device manufacturer and service provider, and is a mess to deal with if anything goes wrong. The phone manufacturer will blame the service provider and vice versa.
I’ve had two unpleasant experiences trying to activate an eSIM, and I don’t plan on using it again soon – at least not until every Android device manufacturer does an Apple and goes eSIM-only.

On Android:
Been using it for 7-8 years and only seen it improve. A few gripes to deal with, but I’m happy otherwise.
Closing in on 10 years of Sync (Reddit/Lemmy). I’m too used to it to switch things around. The only time I’m using the mobile website is when I need to use spoilers.
On desktop, I switch between default, Photon and Alexandrite.
You can pay one time to remove the ads, or sign up for Sync’s Ultra subscription which provides additional features like OCR in images and text translation.
Once you do so, the ad library is not invoked at all.

I’ve installed Darktable probably 10 times in the past 5 years, and uninstalled it immediately after. Basically collecting its .exe files at this point.
There’s just something about the UI that makes it daunting and unappealing to use for me. I’m hoping more FOSS programs can get the Blender treatment with UI/UX improvements and a ton of fundind.

Decent amount, I’d say.
Closed. My housemate’s cats sometimes pounce onto my bed and wake me up.
The closed door also dampens outside noise.
