just about got into the college I wanted
I know I’m a bit late here but how exactly is automated port scanning a nightmare, I’ve had bots join my minecraft server, thousands of failed ssh logins and some bots in my nginx logs but i don’t see it as a very big issue
I usually send people 7z and it’s almost never an issue

I once had rsync going and didn’t want to stop it. my xorg somehow died, managed to restart that from ssh keeping the rsync running. had to use something to move the rsyncs to a screen first. kinda cool how you can almost always just restart parts of Linux instead of the whole thing
it is already something you can do, if you put enough solar panels
get YouTube revanced, it lets you mostly hide shorts from existence

that part isn’t a problem with Irish isps, I run a variety of things to myself without problems
normally you’d rent out a server (vps) and run it on there but hosting from your house would also work. the whole idea about Lemmy is that each instance is ran on different servers by different people
use smb ftp sftp or something similar, just make sure both laptops are connected to the router with ethernet. if the old laptop has its storage easily accessible then I might also just take it out and plug it into my sata dock
what is ska?
ive been using an old cr10s for the past 5 years. I’ve done a bunch of upgrades and stuff over the years. I have had problems with adhesion and inconsistent extrusion but those were my fault. never really had many nozzle clogs tho, that’s probably more of a filament thing
