I saw a post earlier about Empress returning to game cracking. For modern video games that use Denuvo DRM, she’s the only person who can really crack it, as far as I know. Singlehandedly holding up the AAA game piracy scene.

There are some exceptions, including for hobbyists who are selling firearms from their collection and people who sell firearms they inherited.
This makes the law toothless. People who were selling mainly for a profit just at gun shows were already in violation of the law, just that nobody did anything about it.
Now they’ll just claim to be hobbyists and can continue as if nothing changed.
The only way they can make this stick is if they determine that “for profit” means you make more money than you bought it for, rather than intending to make more money that you bought it for, which would be ridiculous.
The world itself is anarchistic. Each counties has its rules but international politics have no governing body (the UN doesn’t really rule over every state, just serve to mediate discussion). The country with the biggest stick would probably be the US, but they haven’t conquered Canada or Mexico, let alone everyone else. Other players like Russia or China have influence too.
While the US does have a lot of soft power in influencing nations, they certainly aren’t making the rules for other countries and puppeting them.
What caused the force to become so diminished?
I mean if someone in Japan wanted to look towards their right-leaning history, the Japanese Empire isn’t too far away, and it aligned with Hitler.
Not to mention, Darwin most likely used Lamarckian theories to shape his own understanding, but didn’t want to give credit because he was English and Lamarck French. Lamarck was the first person to really emphasize the idea of heritability as we know it, describing genes before genetics existed.
