my parents had a huge vet bill last year because dummy loved that plastic flavor
I like people a lot and I think everyone’s life holds value, for the most part and I’m pretty optimistic about most people. On a personal level, i dont like everyone i meet. i can’t stand certain people, I don’t like crowds, and I especially hate everyone on the road.
sounds like you dont hate the humans themselves but just the overwhelm of the crowds. i dont think thats abnormal.
i lovee dazey and the scouts, tiger trap, the regrettes, st. vincent, vial, and gully boys

find old shit you like. classic books, comics, films. i love akira kurosawas stuff, personally. see if your local library has anything online (hoopla or libby or smn or even webtoons lol), or you can buy a dvd player and order dvds here and there. even better if you can trade them around when ur done! there are also some wonderful board games being released these days, some of which have solo play (e.g. gloomhaven). if you cant go out, try connecting w ppl and socializing on the internet. while there is a lot of junk content out there, theres still a lot of good things, maybe put more time into finding what you like rather than something popular, find your niche. or make a friend that can suggest things to you :))
have you seen the prices of beans and rice?? i save a lotta money by not eating meat. even with the outrageous subsidies poured into meat it can still hardly compare.
see if you can just quit your job and move to a tiny town where rent is dirt cheap (i live in a 30,000 person college town and paying $500/mo is considered normal if not even a little high, im assuming you can find for even less in an even smaller area). you can live off your savings for a bit in a cheap place with a quieter environment to give your mind a break and re-evaluate what you want to do.
off topic to the question above… but how do you reliably find tech contract jobs? i love the stability at my currenty company, but i hate just about everything else. 18 days PTO with little opportunity to travel (i have to be online 9 to 5 which really overshadows being somewhere) and have be interested in trying freelancing, i just have no idea how to find jobs regularly enough to have an income.
