I tend to lean towards neutral good it seems
Anything that prevents the UK government from granting them a passport instead?
My favorite is seeing developers directly reach out to a DB of another microservice because “it’s just easier to pull the data from there”. One of the few times I’ve literally said “bruh”
I’ve been wanting to watch it, but 4 hours seems a bit… overkill. Is there really 4 hours of unique content or does it become repetitive or overly granular?
My thoughts on software in general over the past 20 years. So many programs inefficiently written and in 4th level languages just eats up any CPU/memory gain. (Less soap box and more of a curious what if to how fast things would be if we still wrote highly optimized programs)
What will SovCits do now?!
And guess what, it can be done just as easily, if not, more easily on a federated instance. You don’t gain at real additional control over your data (and no putting “covered under license X” is about as realistic as those Facebook posts saying “I don’t give anyone access to my posts”).
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, realistically the only way to control your data from AI is a DRM type solution which everyone fundamentally hates.
You can have someone else do it for you. You just need the money. Give yourself Executive Producer credits, tell them your vision and pay them to make it happen.
QA vs first release to customers.
Transitive Property: Am I a joke to you?
It’s all to spin a turbine ultimately. With the exception of solar…
“Did you buy this a while ago?” “Yup, you let me remember?” “Doesn’t matter, pay me more now or I take it back”
That’s tongue in cheek, but I’m struggling to to know how a retroactive tax is legal?
I wanted to upvote this but it’s sitting at 9 votes which just seems right.
Except servers. They are very much an attack vector there.
We cancelled the plan and now we don’t know how it’ll work!
I understand some degree of malice but at what point does it veer back into true stupidity?
What about a meritocracy based system where any type of contribution is rewarded, whether it be research, garbage cleanup, etc.? (I’m sure there’s holes to poke in it, just thinking outside of the box.)
Call someone from Scotland British and see how that works out for you….
Can someone help me understand. “forced to work… sometimes for nothing”. Can anyone tell me how an inmate can’t refuse that? What are the ramifications of them basically saying “um, no”. Especially those in there with life sentences.
