Hiking interest rates don’t cause inflation, they cause your electoral support to go down. He won a close election, so now he can fix the problem without loosing power.

But sadly it leads to voting for fascist…
So Ukraine got tired of waiting for Russia’s “big missile attack” and moved it’s patriot systems close to the front. Kyiv is unprotected, but with a little trickery (keeping the main radar offline and using a lower power radar closer to the front to prevent the planes from realizing they are entering into it’s coverage) they can lock down Russia’s air force.
Israel: “I know you are but what am i?” when responding to claims of genocide.
I’ve been suppressing this joke for days due to it being in bad taste. I can’t hold it back any longer, down vote away.
Trump: “A school shooting?” Shooting puts on a fedora. “Perry high school shooting!”
Our choices are an insurrectionist who wants to overturn American democracy and turn it into a dictatorship, a genocide supporter who is pretty good otherwise, or a nepotistic vaccine denier, a.k.a supporter of genocide of Americas via COVID. At this point I’d vote for anyone pro-choice, pro-democracy, and anti-genocide - regardless of party. Too bad no one running currently fits those criteria.
Seek out the competitors to near monopolies? I heard somewhere that all glasses are built and sold by one company (that then sells them to a bunch of different companies so it looks like there is competition), and they can charge incredible markups. There probably are very small companies that make and sell glasses that don’t have the economies of scale or ad budgets to get the word out. If enough people bought from them, the monopoly would have to lower prices to their “kill competitors” level to steal back the market-share (or just buyout the little guy). Once dead or absorbed, they can go back to incredible mark-ups, which means we can start the cycle over again and find a new little guy to support.
That or support the maker movements so that anything we need we can just make ourselves (3D printing, bio-hacking, hydroponics and seed banks, general lathe and mill loner libraries, open source software, etc…)
Wasn’t the main thing people were upset with was that the judicial overhaul made it so that the courts COULDN’T overturn laws?
But it will take some time, we just spent a couple months of build up on the attack this is retaliating to.
Ah, I was using Gaza city, not Gaza strip. And Iraq added 20 million people since the invasion? Wow, thought it would be less.
Civilian deaths from the Iraq invasion: 220,000 out of 45.5 million = 0.5%
Civilian deaths from the Gaza invasion: 30,000 out of 778,000 = 3.8%
Iraq invasion: 9 years. Gaza invasion: 3 months.
Civilian deaths from Russian bombing of Ukraine: ~10,000 over 2 years.
Even if Russia totally breaks Ukraine’s military, we can just go back to the original plan America had before they realized that Ukraine actually held the line: armed insurgency. Think Iraqi insurgency against America with the tenacity of the Maripol defenders.
Imagine if they were trick candles and re-lit a second later.
Someone finally convinced them that lowering interest rates didn’t fight inflation.
Netanyahu: “We have creditable evidence that Hamas is experimenting with atomic weaponry. If nothing is done within 300 years, Hamas will have nukes!”
3 9/11s down, 12 more to go.
America retaliated to 9/11 by killing 200,000 Iraqis So Iraq had population 0.5% of its population killed (for something it had no responsibility for). So Israel needs to kill 0.5% of Gaza… which is around 4000 people. I guess 15 9/11 mean 15*4000=60,000
Ah, this choice again.
Do you support dictators or Islamic insurgents? At least this time the insurgents have an army and don’t primarily rely on terrorism, whereas the dictator is accused of genocide.
There was a study this year suggesting Frenchmen feel pain
