I suspect publishing pictures of under age kids is the issue. It does sound like a slightly more clubby school disco and I assume these were alcohol and drug free events with only children and vetted adults on site?

Usually it’s one of those things you do when your move house. Every now and again they will send a form to confirm the entries are correct and if nothing has changed you just tick there box and send it back (or reply online). People who move a lot or bounce between two addresses (e.g. students) are usually the ones that drop through the cracks.
I’m not sure if that is the op or Lemmy cropping stuff. I’ve seen similar when I’ve tried to post stuff.
Usually when MPs defect the receiving party tries to find them a safe seat to defend come the election. Otherwise what would the point be?
From the foreword:
“Throughout, the Review has focused on hearing a wide range of perspectives to better understand the challenges within the current system and aspirations for how these could be addressed. This report does not contain all that we have heard but summarises consistent themes, using direct quotes to illustrate points made, where appropriate.”
How heavily does she quote this group in the report? Because the report certainly doesn’t recommend banning care for trans people.
Meeting with different groups is hardly evidence of bias on her part. The report even mentions the range of views that fed into report in the intro.
That’s certainly not how I read the report. The intro was mostly focused on how patients have been let down by poor services and practice in favour of ideology.
Hmm don’t know why the image gets clipped. Is today a Mastodon or Lemmy issue?
I have not, but I will now thanks.
I’m looking at Embassy too for a Pico project and combining it with a nostd mqtt implementation. However I need to understand Futures and if/how they relate to the async paradigm.
It needs more than that. The NHS has always been a bottomless pit in terms of what it could spend. If we don’t as a country invest more in preventive and early interventions it’s going to be overwhelmed by an increasingly chronically ill population. We will never be able to throw enough money at the NHS then, especially if an ever larger portion of the population isn’t contributing to the economy to fund that.
I strongly suspect it’s underreported as well. Speak to enough women and you hear distressingly familiar stories about public harassment. I think attitudes have improved somewhat since my mum’s days (avoiding being grouped on the train to school was apparently just one of those things) but still has a long way to go.
Most open source developers don’t want to be messing about with non-profit admin tasks. This is why umbrella organisations like the Software Freedom Conservancy exist.
I don’t think he’s making active investment decisions. In fact I’m almost certain it will be some sort of blind trust which is the usual mechanism ministers use for their investments when they go into office.
I don’t think he was thinking - I think he had his scripted joke and was going to deliver it no matter what. I’ve noticed he has the tendency in interviews to just repeat his answers when and interviewer tries to dig into a topic, he’s just not good at thinking on his feet.
I’m not sure “we are not the Tories” is enough of a platform to ensure the lead they have in the polls is replicated by people going to the polling stations on election day. The stupid thing is there is an argument that this investment pays for itself by reducing costs and making us more productive as a country.
Now I’m all for smashing atoms and the LHC did a grand job with the Higgs. However are we sure just smashing things harder is going to be as revelatory as other things we could spend the money on? What other grand physics instruments could we build? For example LISA will be a massive step change in our gravitational detection capabilities?
Maybe it would be better titled track of the year?
Do albums have a connective theme between the tracks compared to say a collection of hit singles?
That would explain why my MP - not quite climate change denier David TC Davis - has been pulling a lot of duty this election.
