This time last year, the night before our wedding, we stayed at a cheap hotel 15 minutes away from home, ate pizza in the room and watched Top of the Pops with Mastodon. So tonight to celebrate the fact that we somehow survived the year we’ll be staying in a cheap hotel 15 minutes away from home, eating pizza in the room and watching Top of the Pops with Mastodon.
Also despite me being middle aged now, my mam and grandma sent us a ton of chocolate. So that’s the rest of the weekend accounted for.
Happy Easter everyone!
Edit: haul
Starting my day off with this absolutely cursed image, thank you OP.
But he looks nothing like Dav…o wait.
That’s my main concern. Seeing content from other platforms in my Mastodon feed is pretty great right now (Lemmy, PeerTube etc). But hashtag feeds could quickly get overrun by something like this if it works the same way.
That said, making this its own thing instead of building a “reels” for Pixelfed suggests the dev already knows separation will be important, so 🤞
Ohhhh! Ok I getcha, I read it as being songs by Lemmy users, that was just my brain filling in the blanks I think. Yeah, completely different thing, ignore me 😅
Any affiliation with FediVision or is this a whole separate contest? If so you might need rules about whether people can submit songs to both!
I’m in for following this either way though, Eurovision fiend that I am.
Member of my extended family had it. His mother, immediately after he was born, was advised to go for whatever the legal process is for abandoning a child to care instead. She did not take this option, and the doctors told her she was making a big mistake. That would’ve been in the early 60s.
He only lived into his forties but he was a wonderful person, creative and warm and loving, with pretty much his only failure being an overwhelming obsession with the music of Robbie Williams. Came to live with us after his mam was gone and essentially became my big brother.
At his funeral, people literally lined the streets all along the route because there were way too many to fit into the actual venue.
This story doesn’t have much to do with anything but I just like remembering him, so there you go.
I’d probably watch it!
That is definitely the sort of thing people should be warned about before moving there 😬
Same, I’d skip the bananas though. Just slurp the custard straight from the carton like the animal I am.
At least you all agree on how to pronounce it, though. You (presumably) have no idea how deep the divide goes, UK-wise!
Now you’ve gone and started the “where counts as north?” thing too! You absolute monster.
Oh christ here we go again.
Oh that’s definitely it. None of us can be held responsible for our behaviour at weddings, they’re either hilariously jovial or incredibly depressing affairs and either way I want a swing.
I’ve worn heels on some inadvisable surfaces in my time and can imagine exactly what it would feel like to sink into this stuff.
Pretty gross, if you were wondering.
Phwoar!
I knew that would be a step too far. The dream is dead 😆
Proper classic that
Not these ones you can’t, soz
