Sure am. I enlisted in the US Navy SSBN force. I voluntarily joined a service dedicated to bringing about the thermonuclear annihilation of the human species and the biosphere if ordered to do so, and I’m indoctrinated to have zero hesitation to flip the toggle switch according to procedure as long as prerequisites are met. I chose my own little path of evil because I saw no way for the world to improve itself, so why not do the world a favor and end it all? I have no right to call myself a “good guy”, but that doesn’t mean I can’t also recognize that the rest of the world is just as full of shit, both past and present. Again, if I’m wrong? Tell me. Show me where there’s hope in this forsaken world, because I can’t seem to find it.

There’s no good guys. The world is a shithole and has been a shithole since the first human picked up a rock. There’s plenty of people who want to convince you they’re the good guys, of course. But at the end of the day, it’s all a whole bunch of hypocrites or outright sociopaths running against another bunch of hypocrites and outright sociopaths. If someone out there thinks they can fix this place, more power to them - but we’ve seen how that goes, multiple times, throughout history. If I’m missing anything, lemme know - I’d be glad to see some hope in this forsaken mess of a world.
