I get past a few posts in all and then it’s just him posting in political communities.

Half of his stuff is downvoted

How do I stop seeing this? Is there way for blocking particular user to not see their posts?

    He’s actually a nice enough guy

    not if their comment history is anything to go by— insulting, hostile, and combative comments, many of which are heavily-downvoted (except on lemmgrad.ml, which is an echo-chamber for tankies).

      I don’t think many people engage with him in a way that doesn’t force him to be defensive. He’s like a dog that’s never been petted properly, only receives shouts and whacks on the head. I engaged with him earnestly and he was suspicious. Eventually I got him to let his guard down a little and he interacted amicably.

      Again, I do worry about his mental health. Then again, I worry about mine

        How very sweet and empathetic of you. Really. And you’re probably right, to some extent.

        Regardless, it’s really no excuse for their behavior.

          Yeah, I can be an asshole online sometimes but he can reach another level. I guess you just gotta laugh at the situation: a guy passionately simping for a foreign government of a country he’s never visited. 😂

          Following up… I think the guy is so disillusioned and angry at his own country (rightfully so, IMO) that he romanticizes China as the only viable alternative.

          Any hole in that balloon threatens his sanity. I honestly feel bad for the guy. He’s probably not well… I wonder what he’s like IRL
