How do you include a thumbnail in a video url post?

When posting a video url on Lemmy, is there any way to have the post display a picture of the video thumbnail? It would look so much better than gray squares with an outlink arrow in the corner.

Beat I have seen so far is to make the thumbnail yourself, make it an image post, and include the video link in the description. But, that is a poor solution.

Hoping they get a fix.
