For most crimes I 100% agree. Rape is different though. There is no legitimate cause for rape. There is no frame of reference where rape is acceptable. The only reason you rape someone is because youre a rabid animal who is fundamentaly unfit to be in society. The only thing you can do with people like that is mitigate the risk they pose to others. In this case that would mean not allowing him to work somewhere where he has access to potential victims. In the post covid era that is incredibly easy with the supply of low skill remote work jobs.
Remote work.
He was found guilty both times he raped someone. Considering he served less than 2 years in prison for his last offence I highly doubt that changed him.
Also considering that he’s a rapist I don’t give a damn how he feels. Rape isn’t like other crimes. You don’t rape someone because you don’t know any better. You don’t rape someone out of necessity. You don’t rape someone on accident. You rape someone because you’re a rabid animal who has no place in society. You don’t fix someone like that. You can only mitigate the risk to others.
The last time he raped someone he was in prison for less than 2 years. Considering that wasn’t his first offence I highly doubt that changed him. Also HR is already aware. Apparently they fired the last person who brought it up to them.
Oh definitely. Right now it isn’t economically viable to produce methane in a renewable way when we can just get it from the ground. It’s like how wood is renewable even though clearcutting old growth forests is unsustainable. We can produce methane; it is a renewable resource. We just aren’t using it in a renewable way.
Natural gas isn’t propane, it’s methane (with some other trace stuff). Also methane can be made fairly easily by various biological processes so it is renewable. It’s still not good for the environment but it is renewable.
The texture is missing because you didn’t install counterstrike source.
Your original comment that I was replying to asked why a midwife could give vaccines when that was a job for nurses and pediatricians. I was pointing out that midwifes are nurses. I wasn’t responding to the article. As far as administering a vaccine, which is what I assumed your second comment was talking about, any nurse can do that. Even a pharmacy intern can administer vaccines.
The fact that this person is a quack has nothing to do with what a midwife is or weather they can administer vaccines.
I don’t see why not. Like I said, they’re still a nurse. Being a midwife is additional training on top of that. At most hospitals when they aren’t midwifing then they are still just doing other nurse stuff elsewhere. My mom is literally a midwife but she also frequently works shifts in various other departments. It doesn’t take anything special to administer vaccines. Any nurse can give someone a shot.
A midwife is by definition a nurse. The full title is certified nurse midwife (CNM). Midwifery is extra training beyond normal nursing duties but they still have all standard nurse training as well.
The gist of it is that it’s the act not the person. Not feeling sexual attraction basically just means that thwre is noone I find “hot”. There are still people I like for platonic reasons and I can still appreciate asthetic beauty but I never look at a person and find them sexually apealing. That doesn’t mean they’re unapealing it’s just that I lack that specific feeling. It’s like describing the taste of light; it just doesn’t make sense to me.
Even if there is noone I find sexually attractive the act of sex still appeals to me just because it is fun and feels good. When it comes to potential sexual partners platonic attraction is typically what I base that on. It just a fun activity between friends like playing a board game or watching a movie. You can still constantly desire sex without feeling sexual attraction, thus horny.
Yep. Asexuality and aromanticism define a lack of a type of attraction. There are a lot of different ways to group attraction types but here is one of the most common ones.
Libido is entirely seperate and in many cases is only somewhat related. Of course, there are plenty of ace people like you too. But personally all of the ace people I know are the horniest people in my friend group. Not finding anyone sexually attractive doesn’t stop a person from being a theoretical slut.
Asexual ≠ Not liking sex. Asexual means not feeling sexual attraction. There are plenty of us with a perfectly active libido.
I only do the refrigeration side of things and I don’t do residential stuff so I’m not sure on exact pricing. Pricing will also vary greatly depending on the exact area. For example in my area we have a high enough ground water level that open loop geothermal is easy and that is the cheapest/easiest method of geothermal. The other types will also vary in cost depending on soil type and moisture content because that will partially dictate how big of a ground loop you need. The amount of area you have for a ground loop will also be a big factor because if you don’t have enough yard area for a horizontal loop then you need to use a vertical loop which can be heniously expensive.
As far as payback goes they are far more expensive to install regardless of the type but the ground loop (assuming closed loop system) can easily last over 50 years and that is the most expensive part of the whole system by a large margin. Out of the $25,000 you mentioned I would bet that about $20,000 of that was just for the ground loop. The rest of the system is going to be more durable as well due to not being outdoors. The expected lifespan of the other components is 20 years and they can easily last far longer than that. So the energy savings is only part of the cost savings. The other part is that geothermal heat pumps need practically no maintenance and break down far more rarely than any other conventional heating or cooling solution. With how long they last and how durable they are a geothermal heat pump can probably pay itself off just with avoided service calls.
In colder areas like that the heat pumps are usually ground source so the ambient air temperature doesn’t change the performance much.
It takes far more work to recover data off of smashed platters than Joe the average users data is worth. There’s very few ways to make that data completely nonrecoverable. Even zeroing the drive isn’t 100% safe from someone with the right resources and knowhow. Just smashing the platters makes data recovery enough of a pain that it’s almost never worth it.
Unfortunately the degausing trick doesn’t work that well with newer higher capacity harddrives. As capacity increases they actually need to be less sensitive to magnetic fields to prevent multiple bits flipping when the drive head tries to write data. With modern multiterabyte harddrives you’re going to have a hard time reliably wiping the platters with anything short of an MRI magnetic field. That’s not to say smaller magnetic fields like degausing coils can’t be damaging; they will just take a long time to destroy enough of the data to prevent recovery. You’re actually more likely to break the drive heads with a degausing coil than you are to wipe the platters.
BBB is a scam. Companies just buy their scores on there.
You’re on different instances. It’s probably something to do with that.
