That was the point of my comment as well.

I don’t know how many things you’ve made in a microwave but most people know you have to let it sit for a minute after the microwave goes off for even heat distribution (or if you dont want to wait the full minute - give it a stir and zap it for another 20 seconds). The article you linked stated that microwaving is different because the hot water rises to the top and won’t sink back to the bottom, duh! - that’s how hot water works in a gravitational field.
Good luck. Brits, for some reason, believe that microwaving your tea water is somehow blasphemous. I mean, it’s not like you put the tea in the kettle when you boil water just the same as you don’t put tea in the microwave while boiling the water. I guess the US doesn’t have a monopoly on idiots.
Huh, I swear I was always told that America was the only modern Democratic country to still use the death sentence. It’s a “fact” that people bring up whenever there is a high-profile death-row case, like right now.
This is the second soft-news post I’ve seen from thefashioncentral.co.uk this morning… New advertising campaign?
Not to make light of this story - I thought I was clicking on a story about somebody with three arms. Its too early.
I call you evil because you are making apologies for a Government that kills civilians. You have decided to only listen to the words of their public relations officers when determining intent and have ignored the actions and inactions that reveal their actual intentions.
That’s the thing. It’s called a war crime because it’s a crime to commit it during a war. Israel is making the calculation that even if they do kill Gazan citizens it’s ok because they got the bad guy too, it’s a terrible calculation.
Got it, you’re evil.
Israel has killed 1% of their population, thats insane! Anyone who says this isn’t genocide is an idiot or evil.
There are two (2) images and they can be found on the official Juno mission page: https://www.missionjuno.swri.edu/news/nasa-s-juno-to-get-close-look-at-jupiter-s-volcanic-moon-io
Well I learned a new word from that article : invigilator Thanks BBC
It is hilarious to me how this guy thinks he is entitled to have advertisers on his platform. I don’t understand why he thinks he can coerce them back with insults and claiming they will bankrupt his company. Why do they have any responsibility to save your rotten company? Delusional!
I won’t claim that you’re wrong but I wanted to let you know that the Jewish religion also bans the consumption of pork so that part was a bit off.
You will need your original ansible files, however you should be able to find the important config ones in /srv/lemmy/
on your server. What you are supposed to do is pull the latest ansible files from GitHub then run the ansible install script. If you are unsure where to place the files you recovered from /srv/lemmy/
you can just look back through the installation instructions.
I see that this was published out of the BBC’s Delhi offices. I guess the writing makes sense now.
I get that this is a big deal but why do the headlines need to fluff it up to make it seem like there is a human out there? When do we ever say that our rovers on Mars are going for a Mars walk or stepping off their landing platform? If it’s wheels they are rolling or going for a drive! It’s no wonder that trust in news media is declining when there are editors who think this kind of bullshit can fly in a science headline.
Ah, I read that as part of the same incident. I see now what was meant by twice - not really a repeat offender.
I can’t find where it says this was the second time in the article. Can you quote it?
Neat visuals but I don’t think this is in any way accurate… Tell me how I crossed all those lightyears in about 60 seconds while only traveling at around 95% the speed of light.
