This is not a carbon copy of r/thrifty, I am not a former mod there either.
Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using an URL instead of its name, which doesn’t work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !thrifty@lemmy.world)
Good bot
Link comparability should be formatted with original instance first because it’s a new community it’s content won’t be federated yet.
also I think @thrifty should be a universal link … just checking
The first link worked correctly in other Lemmy instances, but not kbin. Second link redirected to Lemmy.world from all instances I tried it on. Third link was broken from the kbin side.

The first link was made local /c/ according to sidebar suggestions. The two other, see my reply to unknowing8343.
Thanks for the tip of @Thrifty, I had been looking for something like that. Still learning.
What’s the difference between 2nd and 3rd links?
The first is formatted according to sidebar suggestion, the second as a shorthand, the third was Lemmy.world’s autocompletion from the second:
- [Thrifty](/c/thrifty@lemmy.world)
- !thrifty@lemmy.world
- [!thrifty@lemmy.world](https://lemmy.world/c/thrifty@lemmy.world)
Was hoping that at least one of them would survive.

1 and 2 are functionally the same, 3 is a web URL that will open in a new tab instead of your current instance/client
